Category Manager Location:
Hackensack, NJ or Rogers, AR Hybrid - 2-3 days a week in-office, with shuttle support for NYC-based employees.
Reports to:
Team Lead About the Role Our Category Manager turns insights into action and positively impacts retailer and category growth. We are hiring a Category Manager to lead category strategy for our Spreads, Creams and Cheese business and develop best in class category solutions. This role will be a pivotal role for the brand teams as well as the field teams providing compelling stories for the field to deliver to our customers. Building relationships with brokers, internal & external sales teams as well as brand teams will also be part of your duties with the ultimate goal of increasing sales and profitability of the business to drive sustainable growth. What You'll Do Develop Customer Facing Category Strategy for Spreads, Creams and Cheese categories. Provide guidance on field execution (POGs) by creating localized shelving recommendations for the field to digest and cater to individual retailers and buyers highlighting adds and deletes. Collect and report on POG schedules, share of shelf changes, and placement pre-& post resets. Build Customer Selling Story with Sales partners for the retailer's innovation and planning meetings. Ensure Brokers understand the strategy and localize national strategy to execute plans accordingly. Maintain templates for easier storytelling and ensure broker has tools needed. Ad Hoc Analysis for accounts. About You Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred. 10+ years of category experience in CPG or distributor/broker Experience with Spins, Nielsen AOD Scan, Panel, IRI Unify. Power BI, JDA a plus. Strong collaboration and negotiation skills. Strong planning and analytical skills. Strong communication skills including verbal and written.
