Senior Manager, Global Supply Chain — Capital Equipment (CapEx) McCarran, NV | Full-Time | $150,000 - $190,000 The Opportunity Hundreds of millions in capital equipment. Suppliers on three continents. A factory expansion roadmap that doesn't slow down. Our client — a rapidly scaling clean energy innovator — is hiring a Senior Manager, Global Supply Chain to own end-to-end procurement, logistics, and supplier management for the capital equipment behind their manufacturing expansion. You'll set global sourcing strategy, negotiate the big contracts, build and lead a team, and be the person Engineering, Finance, and Operations count on to deliver equipment on time, on budget, and to spec. Why You'll Love It Leadership role with real spend: Own global CapEx sourcing strategy and build the team behind it Global stage: Strategic suppliers across international machinery and process equipment markets End-to-end scope: From RFQ through customs clearance to final-mile delivery at site Nevada advantage: No state income tax, Reno-Tahoe at your doorstep What You'll Do Lead global sourcing strategy for capital equipment across all company facilities Manage the full procurement lifecycle — requirements, RFQ/RFP, supplier evaluation, negotiation, contract execution, PO management Build and qualify a competitive supplier base to support an aggressive capacity expansion roadmap Drive total cost of ownership reductions through negotiation, design-for-cost, and strategic sourcing levers Build and lead a team partnering with Engineering, Finance, and PM on specs, lead times, and acceptance criteria Serve as primary contact for strategic equipment suppliers; run QBRs against on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, and cost KPIs Qualify and onboard new suppliers to reduce single-source risk; manage escalations and disputes Coordinate international and domestic shipments — import/export compliance, customs, freight forwarding, final-mile delivery Align equipment deliveries with construction and commissioning timelines; maintain trackers, dashboards, and spend reporting for executives Develop category strategies, spend management policies, and procurement KPIs Ensure compliance with trade regulations (ITAR, EAR, OFAC where applicable) and ESG commitments Mentor junior supply chain talent and build organizational capability What You'll Bring Bachelor's in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field 8+ years of progressive supply chain/procurement experience, with 4+ focused on capital equipment in manufacturing, energy, or industrial settings Track record managing complex, high-value capital equipment procurements Strong knowledge of global supplier landscapes for industrial machinery and process equipment Proven negotiation results — cost savings and favorable terms International logistics fluency: incoterms, customs, trade compliance ERP proficiency (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and procurement tools Executive presence and strong project management skills
Preferred:
MBA/MS, battery/semiconductor/chemical/energy industry experience, CPSM, high-growth or greenfield background, Mandarin/German/Japanese fluency Equip the factories of the future. .
