$100k - $115k National Distribution firm seeks a Category Purchasing Manger to join their Team Responsibilities A buyer will perform a variety of tasks, including but not limited to: inventory analysis, price book management, marketing, alternative markets, and negotiating with vendors MUST have experience purchasing grocery items, specially produce and perishables. Manages all purchasing activities Direct interaction with all departments within the company, as well as with key customers Analyze changes or new issues in materials and supplies to find ways to reduce costs and improve quality Receive orders and grants approval for purchases of goods and services Rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals Requirements Finance experience / pricing evaluation / retail cost analysis /gross profit margin knowledge a plus Prior experience in procurement of CPG products required C-Store (convenient store) experience is a plus Strong Analytical Skills and Negotiating Skills Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office programs
