Job Description
Position Summary:
The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing and executing global sourcing strategies that optimize cost, quality, innovation, and risk management across key technology categories. This role partners closely with IT, Finance, Legal, Security, and business stakeholders to source complex technology solutions, negotiate contracts, manage supplier performance, and drive value across the enterprise. The position also requires specialized expertise in emerging technologies, including cloud services, SaaS, AI/ML
solutions, and data platforms.Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute long‑term sourcing strategies for software, Saa
S, AI/ML
platforms, and data services delivering cost savings for the organization.- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, cost drivers, and supplier capabilities.
- Conduct end-to-end sourcing events (RFI/RFP/RFQ) and competitive bidding processes
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key software providers.
- Champion continuous improvement by eliminating waste, challenging the status quo, and swiftly transforming ideas into working solutions that enhance sourcing performance and deliver measurable business value.
- Lead negotiations for master service agreements (MSAs), SaaS agreements, statements of work (SOWs),and AI usage terms.
- Ensure adherence to compliance, regulatory, and corporate governance standards (e.g., GDPR, data privacy, AI governance).
- Partner with CIO, IT architects, engineering leaders, data science teams, and project managers advising internal teams on sourcing strategies, supplier capabilities and market intelligence.
- Lead procurement transformation initiatives by developing and implementing standard work processes, driving adoption of best-in-class tools and methodologies, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and innovation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in procurement or sourcing, with a focus on IT categories.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong knowledge of software licensing models (SaaS, subscription, perpetual, consumption-based).
- Understanding of AI/ML technologies, data platforms, and cloud architectures.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
