- 150K and DOE Candidates must have experience working within companies that have their own Manufacturing.
Must be hands on with personal connections (rolodex) with both Suppliers and Distributors (Electronics, semiconductors and the like). Please see the minimum requirements for this role: 8+ years' experience dealing directly with electronic component suppliers (manufacturers and/or distributors) Inclusive of actives, passives, magnetics, electromechanical, and PCBs. Experience collaborating with in-house manufacturing or having hands-on relationship with contract manufacturing activity and decisions First-hand experience with supply chain and supplier performance metrics (for example on-time delivery or cost reduction goals) Proficiency in supplier relationship management across all levels Ability to use data to influence stakeholders and drive execution of their stated commodity plan. Position Overview The Commodity Manager
- Electronic Components will be responsible for overseeing the procurement and management of electronic components, ensuring that the supply chain operates efficiently while optimizing costs and maintaining quality standards.
This role will involve strategic sourcing, supplier management, and contract negotiation to support the company's manufacturing and product development efforts. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement sourcing strategies for electronic components to meet production and project requirements. Manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness of electronic components. Conduct market research and cost analysis to inform purchasing decisions and identify potential suppliers. Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions. Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to support new product introductions and specifications. Monitor inventory levels and implement strategies for inventory management and demand planning. Evaluate supplier performance through benchmarking and performance monitoring to drive continuous improvement. Analyze risks associated with the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply. Support strategic planning initiatives related to commodity management and procurement activities. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in commodity management, specifically within electronic components. Proven experience in supplier management and contract negotiation. Strong analytical skills with a focus on cost analysis and market research. Knowledge of procurement processes and supply chain management principles. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to manage vendor relationships effectively. Familiarity with electronic device components and related industry standards. Strong data analysis and performance monitoring skills. Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, production, and planning teams.
