We're looking to hire a Director of Procurement and Supply Chain for Capital Projects to support our EPCM projects within our Advanced Manufacturing business unit. This position is responsible for managing the procurement operations of Jacobs for assigned capital projects to effectively and proactively plan, coordinate, and control execution of the procurement activities on the project(s). The incumbent is responsible to the Sr Project Executive, Department Manager, or Enterprise Procurement Management for strategic planning and objectives management; defining and achieving value-added expectations; delivering results in regard to on-time performance, cost savings, and quality; and compliance with established policies and procedures. The incumbent has thorough knowledge and understanding of procurement concepts, principles and practices, as applied in the engineering and construction industry with experience in program management and project types including consulting and design-build, project delivery processes; and relationship expectations with suppliers, subcontractors, clients, and the project team. The incumbent understands how the procurement functions integrate with and impacts other functions in the project delivery process and with other business processes. The incumbent has knowledge and understanding of the concepts, principles, theories, compliance requirements, corporate operations, and the type and nature of the operations and work undertaken in the assigned project(s). Develop Procurement leadership within the Project, manage procurement resources, and direct procurement activities required to support the planning and execution of procurement operations Provide direction and expertise for assigned procurement related activities, and support the planning and execution of operational requirements and projects. Provide regular interaction and communication with Enterprise, Business Group, and regional management. Strictly uphold company policies and procedures, and participate in development or modifications of company policies and procedures when required. Understand and be aware of changing market conditions with regard to availability and cost of procurement resources as well as movement and trends in the pricing of materials, equipment and services. Maintain performance metrics to measure the performance of those responsible for cost savings, on time performance, and quality performance. Participate in development of complex Project or Program Execution Plans. Assist in the resolution of complex purchase order and subcontract disputes. Oversee effectiveness of the project procurement team and other project team procurement support required to ensure timely delivery of all materials and equipment and timely performance of subcontracted services. Provide any required information to senior management on procurement issues for projects and changes in the market place. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related discipline; or equivalent years of experience in lieu of degree 15+ years of procurement experience on
EPC/EPCM
projects Experience managing large scale, complex, multi-project supply chains. Data Center or regulated industry experience Portfolio-level procurement leadership experience.
