Are you a strategic, hands-on Planning and Purchasing Manager who enjoys building order out of complexity—owning purchasing, planning, and inventory while leading a team that keeps production moving? We're working on behalf of a client seeking a Planning and Purchasing Manager to drive smarter materials strategies, strengthen supplier performance, and improve on-time delivery in a fast-paced on-site environment, with clear runway to broader operations leadership. Requirements (must have): Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field 5+ years of progressive supply chain leadership experience in a manufacturing setting Strong background in purchasing/procurement and production planning/scheduling Experience using ERP/MRP systems and maintaining data accuracy Proven supplier negotiation skills (cost, lead times, terms) Confident people leader with strong communication and analytical skills Ability to manage priorities and drive continuous improvement What you'll do as the
Planning and Purchasing Manager:
Convert customer demand/delivery needs into executable material and inventory plans Lead purchasing, scheduling, shipping/receiving, and inventory control activities Build and execute inventory strategies (safety stock, order quantities, min/max) Partner cross-functionally to align supply chain plans with operational goals Improve supplier performance and resolve shortages/quality or delivery issues Track and report KPIs; reduce slow-moving/obsolete inventory Support safe work practices and consistent process execution Optimize warehouse/material flow processes and documentation Perks & benefits: Strong benefits package (medical/dental/vision options and wellness resources) 401(k) with employer match and financial support tools PTO, paid holidays, and paid volunteer time Team events and on-site amenities Tuition support/professional development options Bonus potential (up to ~10%); travel up to ~10%
