The Starbucks experience starts in our Roasting Plants where we have a dedicated team of professional roasters and supporting process teams including planning, warehouse management, packaging, roasting, maintenance, engineering, and logistics. This job contributes to Starbucks success by providing procurement services and support to our maintenance team with the highest quality products as well as excellent customer service. This position's primary responsibilities will be within the MRO process of receiving maintenance spare parts, supplies, and services as well as coordination of the financial analysis and invoicing. This partner is a valuable resource for the internal maintenance customers and strategic supply chain solutions. Models and acts in accordance with Starbucks guiding principles. As a senior maintenance coordinator, you will:
- Manage receiving of inventory and invoicing through electronic systems.
- Update supplier schedules, track supplier performance, and maintain delivery expectations.
- Provide procurement services to meet business requirements including inventory control (e.g., vendor set-up,electronic ordering, tracking, receiving, storage, and cycle counting).
- Maintain purchase orders, goods receipts, and supporting documents.
- Initiate invoice approval process to meet payment terms, drive resolution activities as related to blocked or disputed invoices.
- Facilitate setup of new vendors in the purchasing system as required.
- Develop and maintain vendor relationships. Update purchasing info records related to sourcing activities.
- Help manage vendor performance against key performance indicators, ensuring on-time deliveries and adherence to all requested specifications.
- Monitor manufacture and delivery due dates as necessary to relay status of materials, identifying and addressing any potential delivery issues.
- Identify supply and supplier issues. Analyze information to assess root cause, improvement opportunities, and associated risk. Recommend and implement solutions to resolve issues.
- Resolve all open accounts payable issues involving invoicing, pricing, quantity, and necessity of the part as they occur.
- Receive and distribute orders and compare receipts to items listed on the purchase order.
- Follow-up on past due receipts.
- Assist accounts payable with related questions about pricing, PO's etc.
- Assist in the development of procurement strategies designed to achieve the highest quality products and services while achieving cost objectives.
- Support maintenance and engineering teams regarding acquisition of uniforms, materials, and supplies.
- Provide support regarding department and plant events, gatherings, and special occasions.
- Manage material and waste disposal.
- Organize parts storage consistent with 5S principles.
- Manage communication and posting of information and material on maintenance area YRP TV system.
- Manage FedEx shipment process.
- Understand and follow established safety guidelines, programs, and procedures and actively work to prevent safety incidents.
- Support food safety, legality, and quality programs.
- Maintain product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications and quality procedures.

- Automated manufacturing or distribution environment (5 years)
- General industrial maintenance and electrical systems (5 years)
- Experience repairing and maintaining high speed packaging equipment (2 years)
- Knowledge of welding, plumbing and machining
- High school diploma/GED, US military service or equivalent
- Ability to work variable shifts to support business needs
- Ability to work in accordance with safety, quality and sanitation standards, policies and procedures
- Ability to communicate technical and operational issues clearly and concisely
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical plant equipment
- Ability to understand mechanical and technical equipment manuals
- Ability to work in elevated areas with ladders, roofs, overhead lights
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision
- Basic math skills

- Ability to plan and prioritize workload
- Familiarity with food safety regulatory requirements and global standards including Preventive Controls for Human Food (21 CFR 117) and the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).

- If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above.
