Director of Procurement Lewisville, TX (Hybrid) Lead the Supply Chain Behind Critical Power Infrastructure We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Director of Procurement to lead procurement and supply chain operations for a growing High Voltage EPC (Engineering, Procurement & Construction) business. This executive leadership role will oversee sourcing strategy, supplier management, contract negotiations, logistics, inventory strategy, and procurement operations supporting transmission, substation, renewable interconnection, and utility infrastructure projects across North America. The Director will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, Estimating, and Executive Leadership to ensure successful project execution while driving profitability, supplier performance, and operational excellence. This position reports directly to the Senior Vice President and will lead a team of approximately 6-8 procurement professionals . Why This Opportunity? Executive-level leadership role within a growing Power Delivery business Direct visibility to senior executive leadership Opportunity to lead and develop an established procurement organization Influence sourcing strategy across major utility infrastructure projects Significant impact on project profitability, supplier performance, and execution Hybrid work schedule based in Lewisville, TX Competitive compensation package with bonus opportunity Key Responsibilities Strategic Procurement Leadership Develop and execute procurement and supply chain strategies aligned with business growth objectives Build and lead a high-performing procurement organization focused on accountability, operational excellence, and continuous improvement Establish sourcing strategies that support successful execution of high-voltage EPC projects Drive initiatives that improve procurement performance and project outcomes Provide executive-level reporting on procurement performance, risks, opportunities, and market trends Project Procurement Lead procurement efforts for transmission and substation EPC projects Partner with Estimating and Business Development teams during project pursuits and proposal development Ensure timely procurement of long-lead equipment and critical-path materials Develop procurement schedules aligned with project execution plans and customer commitments Proactively identify and mitigate procurement-related project risks Supplier & Contract Management Develop strategic relationships with OEMs, manufacturers, distributors, and subcontractors Negotiate major supply agreements and commercial contracts Establish supplier scorecards and performance review programs Drive cost optimization and value creation across the supply chain Ensure contractual compliance and resolve commercial issues as needed Materials, Logistics & Inventory Management Oversee materials planning, inventory management, logistics, warehousing, and expediting activities Ensure material availability aligns with project schedules and field construction requirements Develop strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and market volatility Improve working capital performance while maintaining operational readiness Team Leadership & Development Recruit, mentor, and develop procurement professionals and future leaders Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement Establish performance expectations, goals, and development plans for the procurement team Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field 12+ years of progressive procurement, sourcing, or supply chain experience 7+ years of leadership experience managing procurement and supply chain teams Experience supporting utility, power delivery, transmission, substation, renewable energy, industrial infrastructure, or EPC construction projects Demonstrated success managing significant procurement spend and complex supplier relationships Strong contract negotiation and commercial management experience Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams Preferred Qualifications High Voltage EPC, Power Delivery, Transmission, or Substation experience Experience supporting projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV+ Experience procuring: Power Transformers Circuit Breakers Protection & Control Systems Conductors Steel Structures Major Substation Equipment and Materials Experience working with ERP systems Knowledge of utility and EPC contracting models All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
