Job Title:
Indirect Procurement Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced Indirect Site Procurement Manager for a temporary contract role to support the procurement function at our manufacturing site. This is a hands-on, site-facing role requiring both strategic thinking and strong day-to-day execution. The role is pivotal in embedding procurement best practices, optimizing source-to-pay processes, and aligning site-level activities with regional and global procurement strategies. The ideal candidate will be adept at navigating a matrixed organization, working independently with limited supervision, driving cross-functional alignment, and delivering timely, well-structured procurement outcomes in a fast-paced industrial environment. Responsibilities Localize and execute regional/global category strategies tailored to site operational needs while maintaining strong day-to-day site support. Develop site-specific sourcing plans and category profiles, including risk assessments and supplier segmentation. Identify and deliver added value through competitive bidding, cost avoidance, and efficiency gains. Lead RFQ/RFP processes, commercial evaluations, supplier negotiations, and contract development for site indirect requirements in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Ensure purchase orders, contracts, supplier onboarding, and related procurement documentation are completed accurately and on time in accordance with company processes and systems. Mitigate supplier risks and ensure compliance with corporate standards and ESG goals. Establish KPIs, scorecards, and review mechanisms for critical indirect suppliers. Monitor progress against plans, maintain clear status tracking, and provide routine updates and practical issue escalation to leadership. Ensure alignment with procurement policies, compliance expectations, and sustainability frameworks. Act as the primary procurement interface for site teams, including Site Management, Engineering, Operations, and Finance, by driving cross-functional collaboration, clarifying requirements, and maintaining momentum toward resolution. Build strong relationships to understand local needs, align procurement strategies, and ensure seamless execution. Essential Skills Proficiency in Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Supplier Management. Advanced skills in Excel and SAP. Experience with Purchase Order and Supplier Performance. Strong capabilities in Inventory and Vendor Management. ERP and Contract Management expertise. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline (MBA or certification preferred). 5+ years of procurement experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Demonstrated ability to operate independently in a matrixed organization while balancing site and corporate priorities with strong personal accountability and follow-through. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including stakeholder updates, meeting facilitation, issue escalation, and clear documentation of sourcing and procurement activities. Experience supporting procurement for site services, MRO, construction, capital projects, or equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred. Work Environment Hybrid schedule with 2 days working from home and 3 days in the office. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pasadena, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
