Job Description

About the Role We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Sourcing and Category Manager to join our team. In this role, you will go beyond traditional sourcing by helping shape category strategies, drive innovation, and deliver measurable business impact. You will play a key role in optimizing costs, mitigating risks, and strengthening vendor partnerships through data-driven insights and best-in-class sourcing practices. Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders and leadership, you'll lead sourcing initiatives that directly support organizational goals and long-term success. What You'll Do Support the development and execution of sourcing and category strategies to optimize spend and improve operational outcomes Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and cost drivers to inform strategic sourcing decisions Lead and coordinate sourcing activities, including negotiations, contract terms, and pricing models Partner with stakeholders to align sourcing initiatives with business goals and financial objectives Apply data-driven methodologies such as benchmarking, spend analysis, and competitive assessments Manage sourcing projects using established processes, ensuring efficiency, compliance, and consistency Monitor supplier performance, identify risks, and ensure adherence to contractual and compliance standards Drive cost savings initiatives and track performance metrics with stakeholders Manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience) 4+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or vendor management (or 8+ years without a degree) Strong knowledge of sourcing processes and contract lifecycle management Experience working cross-functionally with multiple departments and leadership levels Proven track record managing large, complex sourcing projects Proficiency with spend analysis tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Power BI) Ability to manage competing priorities and build strong stakeholder relationships Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hopkins, MN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $42.70 - $67.11/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
