Manager of Capital Assets (TN, Chattanooga)TN, Chattanooga About the Role Five Star Breaktime Solutions is seeking a highly organizedManager of Capital Assetsto oversee the planning, purchasing, and tracking of capital equipment and projects across the company. This role works closely with senior leadership, branch teams, vendors, and internal departments to manage Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs), coordinate equipment purchases, and ensure projects stay on schedule from approval through completion. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys managing multiple projects while building strong relationships across the organization. Key Responsibilities + Manage Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) for equipment, facility improvements, and capital projects across all lines of business. + Review project requests, compile supporting information, and prepare CER documentation for leadership approval. + Coordinate approved capital projects with branch leadership, operations teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders. + Track project timelines, approvals, budgets, and procurement activities from start to finish. + Create and maintain project documentation and organized digital project files. + Process CER amendments for project changes, additions, or budget updates. + Coordinate the purchasing of micro market, refreshment, dining, warehouse, and facility equipment. + Place equipment orders with vendors and monitor order confirmations, delivery schedules, and installation timelines. + Communicate order status, pricing updates, backorders, and delivery information to branch teams. + Work with suppliers and internal departments to ensure equipment specifications, graphics, and custom fixtures are accurate. + Assist with weekly project meetings, provide project updates, and communicate progress to leadership. + Maintain capital asset records, pricing guides, and procurement documentation. + Support continuous improvements to purchasing processes and capital asset management systems. + Partner with Finance, Operations, Procurement, Sales, Facilities, and executive leadership to ensure successful project execution. Required Qualifications + High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Project Management, Finance, or a related field preferred. + Previous experience in purchasing, procurement, project coordination, operations, capital asset management, or a related field. + Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. + Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. + Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications. + Strong attention to detail and ability to manage budgets, documentation, and approvals accurately. + Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple departments. Preferred Qualifications + Experience with capital expenditure (CAPEX) processes and procurement systems. + Experience coordinating equipment purchases, vendor relationships, and project timelines. + Knowledge of inventory, warehousing, vending, refreshment services, or food service operations. + Experience working with ERP, purchasing, or requisition systems. + Project management experience is a plus.
