PRIMARY FUNCTION

Performance will be evaluated annually in accordance with provision of the Board's policy on evaluation of personnel.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist with the purchase of materials and equipment for the district bypetitive bids,petitive sealed proposals, requests for proposals, government catalog contract purchases, informal quotations, and negotiations following established district criteria and inpliance with state purchasing rules. Manage the full cycle of thepetitive procurement process, including development of bid specifications, distributions of proposal documents, advertising requirements, bid openings, vendor evaluations, negotiation, and contract award rmendation in accordance with board policy and legal requirements. Monitor andply with federal, state and local laws, policies and regulations, ensuring purchasing and contract policies and procedures are aligned as appropriate for the District; rmend revisions to local policy and procedures as necessary. Obtain and evaluateparative prices and quotations. Make purchasing decisions based on information obtained. Develop vendor and bidder lists and approve additions. Approve purchase orders and monitor all purchase requisitions to ensure accuracy of information, calculations, and coding. Administer contracts and handle adjustments with suppliers, including replacement of material not conforming to specifications, cancellation of orders, and receipt of proper credit. Develop and implement an ongoing training program for District staff on purchasing laws, contracts, travel, and buying procedures, as well as how to use the financial software to enter requisitions. Developmunication strategies with the vendormunity, including training sessions and materials on how to do business with the District and establish a broad list of potential vendors to meet District needs. Work cooperatively with district personnel to determine specific requirements and assist in locating necessary goods and services. Compile, maintain, and file all physical andputerized reports, records, and other documents required, including auditable accounting records. Adhere to professional and ethical standards, in accordance with generally acceptedmunity standards and the Texas Education Agency Code of Ethics. Develop needed professional skills appropriate to job performance. Maintain confidentiality. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures. Participate in staff development activities to improve job-related skills. Attend and participate in staff meetings and serve on staffmittees as required. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor and the Superintendent of Schools.Qualifications:
