Job Summary:
The Director of Inventory and Procurement Systems leads multi-level teams who oversee digital spend/catalog architecture in procurement platforms (like Coupa), direct inventory management, and physical warehouse/distribution strategy. This strategic leadership position is goal oriented towards and tasked with developing and deploying a category management approach that improves operational performance, reduces total cost, and insulates the organization from risk.Essential Functions:
Catalog & Procurement Governance:
Oversee the administration, data integrity, and supplier punch-out/internal catalogs within Coupa.Inventory & Direct Materials:
Direct strategy for direct purchase inventory, stock optimization, material replenishment, and minimization of stockouts.Warehouse & Distribution Management:
Standardize operations, efficiency metrics, and inventory tracking across regional or global distribution centers. Be a leader representing the Procurement team's collaborative, client-serving culture and develop relationships with Progress Leaders Lead a team of Managers with a sub-team of Specialists and Analysts Manage material supplier performance including Cost, Quality & Delivery. Develop and own Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) function to facilitate relationships with supplier leadership to ensure supplier accountability to performance goals and commitments Stay current on industry and macroeconomic trends in order to develop risk mitigation plans as necessary to help Progress achieve its long-terms goals Contracting strategy and negotiation ownership Responsible for development and deployment of departmental policy, procedures, and processesRequired Qualifications:
10+ years in Inventory Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Experienced in various Procurement and ERP software solutions; specifically Coupa Bachelor's degree in the field of supply chain management, finance, economics, data analytics/science, or business administration Ability to travel to Suppliers, Conferences and Progress Markets 10-20% (5-10 trips / year) What you can expect from us: Competitive Compensation- Including performance-based bonuses that reward your contributions.
