THIS IS A 12+ MONTH W2 CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY ONSITE IN HOUSTON RATE

Role Summary This role represents the Purchasing function on capital project teams, serving as a project?level procurement leader. The individual will sit on the capital project steering team, partnering with Engineering, Project Management, and other functional leaders to ensure procurement strategies align with project objectives. While strong purchasing expertise is required, project management capability is equally critical. Required Qualifications (Must?

Have Skills) Bachelor's degree required 8-10 years of relevant experience The true nature and priorities of the role, emphasizing that it differs from a traditional procurement position: The role is not focused on transactional purchasing but instead functions as a project management role within procurement. The individual will be responsible for leading a team and managing capital projects as part of a broader program. Key Capabilities Highlighted Project management expertise is the top priority Strong stakeholder management skills are critical Ability to coordinate across teams and drive projects forward Procurement Knowledge Expectation Candidates should have a general understanding of procurement fundamentals This knowledge is needed primarily so they can communicate effectively with procurement teams However, they are not expected to execute purchasing tasks directly Ideal Candidate Profile A smart, sharp, and adaptable professional Someone who can navigate complex projects and stakeholder environments Brings a balanced mix of project leadership and procurement awareness Industry Preference Experience in petrochemical, chemical, or oil & gas industries is highly desirable These industries are preferred because they offer similar capital project environments and complexities Work Schedule & Onsite Expectations 40 hours per week Onsite in the Houston office 4 days per week Some flexibility due to project meetings and site visits Occasional project site visits on an as?needed basis (not extended or long?term) This is not a shift role
