Job Description

Directs and supervises Inventory Management, Shipping & Receiving, Mailroom, Bookstore and Purchasing activities of the College. Administers and oversees the e-procurement and contract management platforms, must be very experienced in procurement and contracting requirements. The Director fulfills the duties of the Associate Vice Chancellor of Business Services in his/her absence. Bachelor's Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education in Business Administration or in a related degree program with three years experience in procurement and/or contracting required. OR Associates Degree from a nationally, regionally or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education in Business Administration or in a related degree program with five years experience in procurement and/or contracting required. Must also have experience in the management of auxiliary services, preferably at a college or comparable management experience. Supervisory experience is required. Demonstrated ability to control and mange college auxiliary functions. Demonstrated supervisory skills and the ability to coordinate staffing requirements to meet objectives. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook, good with learning new systems quickly. Demonstrated ability to communicate professionally, orally and in writing. Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines, and multi-task with minimal supervision. Ability to identify problems and recommend solutions. Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information. Working knowledge of customer relations concepts. Supervises, manages, and leads the Inventory Management, Shipping & Receiving, Mailroom, Bookstore and Purchasing teams in the execution and delivery of services by hiring, training, coaching and evaluating supervisory staff in each of these areas. Provides guidance and direction on bookstore operations and ensures compliance with College policies and procedures. Provides guidance and direction on purchasing function and ensures compliance with College policies and procedures. Provides guidance and direction on inventory management, shipping & receiving and mailroom operations and ensure compliance with College policies and procedures. Reviews institutional requests for purchases that meet the $50K threshold to determine appropriate method of procurement and process accordingly, i.e., solicitation, cooperative contract, or sole source. Reviews and processes all proprietary and sole source purchase requests in accordance with College policies. Reviews and approves annual departmental budget submission and requisitions for inventory management, shipping & receiving, mailroom, bookstore and purchasing. Assist with oversight of contract review process and contracts. Administer and oversee the e-procurement and contract management platforms. Manages all Business Services activities during the absence of the Associate Vice Chancellor of Business Services. Performs other duties as required or approved by the Associate Vice Chancellor.
