Join Our Team We are a growing chemical manufacturing company seeking an experienced Manufacturing Operations & Procurement Manager to oversee the business functions that keep our operation running efficiently. This is a leadership position responsible for procurement, finance and accounting, warehouse operations, facilities management, and customer service. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who enjoys wearing multiple hats, improving processes, and working across departments in a collaborative manufacturing environment. Position Summary The Manufacturing Operations & Procurement Manager is responsible for managing the operational infrastructure of the business while ensuring the timely procurement of raw materials and operational supplies to support manufacturing. This role oversees accounting and financial administration, warehouse operations, facilities maintenance, and customer service. Key Responsibilities Procurement Source and purchase raw materials, packaging, laboratory supplies, maintenance items, and indirect materials. Develop and maintain supplier relationships. Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, and service agreements. Monitor supplier performance and resolve purchasing issues. Maintain appropriate inventory levels of purchased materials. Support vendor qualification and periodic supplier evaluations. Accounting & Finance Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting activities. Manage monthly financial close and reporting. Prepare budgets and forecasts. Monitor operating expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities. Manage cash flow and working capital. Coordinate with external accountants. Maintain internal controls and financial compliance. Warehouse Operations Manage warehouse personnel and daily warehouse activities. Ensure accurate inventory transactions and inventory control. Optimize warehouse layout and storage practices. Coordinate receiving, stocking, and shipping operations. Drive continuous improvements in warehouse efficiency and accuracy. Facilities Management Oversee building maintenance and repairs. Coordinate preventative maintenance programs. Manage facility vendors and service contracts. Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate capital improvements and facility projects. Customer Service Oversee customer order processing and fulfillment coordination. Ensure timely communication with customers regarding orders and shipments. Resolve customer service issues professionally and efficiently. Work collaboratively with Sales to improve customer satisfaction. Leadership & Operations Lead and develop administrative, warehouse, and customer service personnel. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency. Develop and document standard operating procedures. Support strategic planning and operational initiatives. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. 7+ years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations. Experience in procurement within a manufacturing environment. Strong accounting and financial management background. Experience managing warehouse operations. Previous supervisory or management experience. Strong ERP/MRP system experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding communication and leadership abilities. Preferred Experience Chemical manufacturing or industrial manufacturing experience. Knowledge of inventory control and purchasing best practices. Experience with ISO quality systems. Familiarity with OSHA and environmental compliance requirements. Continuous improvement experience.
