Job Description

Under the direction of the Director of Maintenance, the Purchasing Manager provides strategic and operational leadership for all procurement activities supporting maintenance and plant supply operations. This role is accountable for driving ERP best practices, optimizing inventory and supplier performance, and ensuring alignment between purchasing strategy and maintenance reliability objectives. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all purchasing functions related to MRO, spare parts, and operational support.
  • Own and drive ERP system best practices, including governance of item master data, inventory structure, and workflows.
  • Partner closely with maintenance to develop spare parts strategies and support uptime.
  • Establish sourcing strategies balancing cost, quality, and reliability.
  • Lead supplier selection and performance management.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Drive improvements in delivery, inventory accuracy, and cost reduction.
  • Maintain inventory strategies aligned with operational needs.
  • Supervise and develop purchasing staff.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, maintenance, and finance.
  • Maintain plant floor presence to stay aligned with maintenance needs.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Other job duties as assigned Qualification
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree in business administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Experience:
    5+ years purchasing experience in manufacturing; MRO experience preferred.
  • Advanced ERP knowledge (Sage preferred)
  • Supplier negotiation skills
  • Leadership and problem-solving ability
  • Physical and Environmental Conditions
  • This role includes both office and plant-floor responsibilities.
Pay:
$65,000.00
  • $90,000.
00 per year
