Job Description

Job Description Overview The Veteran Resources Center at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a Veterans Resources Center School Certifying Official! This position assists with and oversees the operations of the Auburn University Veterans Resources Center (AUVRC), including the planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of services and programs that support student veterans. As part of the Student Resources family, the role contributes to the design and delivery of comprehensive programs focused on helping students successfully integrate into the university environment and thrive both personally and academically. Responsibilities Serves as the University's lead Veterans Affairs School Certifying Official; processes enrollment certifications, amendments, and required reporting to ensure VA compliance. Maintains accurate student records and monitors academic progress in accordance with VA regulations; reports enrollment changes, withdrawals, and graduations as required. Serves as liaison between the AUVRC and university faculty, staff, academic units, and local, state, and federal veterans' agencies. Advises and educates veterans, military‑affiliated students, and families on VA education benefits, financial aid, scholarships, and related programs. Coordinates and delivers workshops, programs, and outreach efforts that support student veterans' transition, engagement, and success. Assists in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of AUVRC programs, policies, and procedures. Provides guidance to campus partners on VA‑related financial aid, admissions, registrar, and degree issues. Manages student veteran scholarships, AUVRC web content, and related reports supporting certification and compliance cycles. Represents the AUVRC in state, regional, and national training programs and professional conferences. Qualifications Level I Bachelor's degree Level II Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of experience OR Master's degree Level III Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of experience OR Master's degree plus 2 years of experience
