GROUP HOME PROGRAM COORDINATOR

Summary of Responsibilities:

This is a direct service position which is involved in a residential setting and provides basic assistance and supervision of clients

Examples of Job Requirements:

• Assist clients in program activities.
• Drive or assist driver of agency vehicles in transporting clients.
• Provide direct supervision and person assistance with clients.
• Implement activities in accordance with daily schedule or planned activities (e.g., learning modules, study assignments, recreational activities).
• Provide information to supervisor regarding client behavior and progress.
• Provide basic living skills training and family support/education.
• Document client behavior and activities, in accordance with the supervisor.
• Assist Therapist or Counselor in group therapy sessions.
• Provide support to clients, as needed.

Demonstrate ongoing proficiency in program knowledge. Demonstrate ongoing interest and involvement in the professional growth and development of self and the others you supervise. Maintain thorough working knowledge of program standards and regulations governing certification. Ability to supervise others and maintain positive, cooperative work effort within unit. Ability to work well with other supervisors and directors. Maintain high level of service utilization and revenue generation within program for which you are responsible. Conduct job performance evaluations of people you supervise, at least annually.

Supervisor:

The supervisor of this position depends on the program within the organization and would be either a Program Coordinator or Program Director.

Required Qualifications:

This position minimally requires a high school diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license, and CPR and First Aid certification.
