Position is located in Talladega, AL The Vision Rehabilitation Assistant position is responsible for: Interact with public so that ADRS is represented in a positive manner via phone or in person. Transport and accompany State Coordinator of Blind Services on a statewide basis including extensive overnight and occasional weekend travel. Complete travel forms, time sheets, and leave requests in a timely manner. Maintain Outlook Calendar. Inventory and monitor program supplies. Prepare and distribute handouts/reports. Read written correspondence for Coordinator of Blind Services. Order and organize supplies for special programs. Utilize computer and assistive technology to transcribe materials for State Coordinator of Blind Services and other staff in an accessible format (Braille, large print, and electronic). Perform other duties as assigned by State Coordinator of Blind Services. Minimum Qualifications 1. High school diploma or equivalent. 2. Must have valid Alabama Driver's License. 3. Must have a safe and dependable automobile with comprehensive insurance for use on the job and provide proof of insurance. 4. Must have good driving record. 5. Must have a minimum automobile insurance policy in effect. Preferred Qualifications 1. Experience working with individuals who are blind or visually impaired
