Job Summary:
The Career Center Program Manager provides oversight and planning for the development, implementation, and delivery of program(s), service(s), and/or activity(ies) within the Career Center. Coordinates career development and engagement efforts. Provides oversight for career-related outreach and marketing to students, alumni, and prospective students.
Additional Department Summary:
Reports to the Director of Career Education and Development of the Career Center. Provides oversight and planning for career services and programming for Arts and Sciences students. Collaborates with other Career Center staff in order to maximize the delivery of programs, resources, and services for all client populations and to enhance career development and employment services for Arts and Sciences students. Participates in regional and national professional organizations and conferences related to the mission and services of The Career Center. Coordinates with Career Center staff, Arts and Sciences faculty and staff, Division of Student Life staff, staff within other divisions of the university and external constituents, and vendors. Provides direct supervision for assigned staff. Promotes respectful participation of organizations in order to achieve individual and organizational success. Supports the commitment to making a positive effort towards the physical, emotional, social, and academic well-being of all students. Completes required training and promoting a safe, hospitable, and respectful workplace. Holds staff accountable for completion of required training. Has personal accountability for financial reporting and responsibility for establishing, enforcing, and following internal processes and controls as outlined in UA policies and procedures.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of career advising or employer relations experience; OR master's degree and some career advising or employer relations experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
Knowledge of Career Theory and Development. Demonstrated commitment to supporting all students.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in student personnel, human resources, counseling, higher education, communications, or a related field. Knowledge of and qualification to administer career assessments.
