Job Description

Connect. Create. Coordinate. Help Small Businesses Thrive. Are you someone who loves keeping things organized, enjoys connecting with people, and can confidently juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment? Mohave College's Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is seeking an energetic and resourceful Program Coordinator to help keep programs moving, clients engaged, and our connection to the business community growing. This is not your typical administrative position. As the SBDC Program Coordinator, you'll be at the center of a dynamic environment where entrepreneurs, small businesses, workshops, outreach, marketing, reporting, and community engagement all come together. One moment you may be welcoming a new client and assisting with intake, and the next you could be creating marketing materials, coordinating an upcoming workshop, entering program data, or helping ensure important reporting and compliance documentation is accurate and complete. We're looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, creative, and proactive—a self-starter who sees what needs to be done and takes initiative to make it happen. You should be comfortable shifting priorities, managing deadlines, solving problems, and maintaining accuracy even when several things are happening at once. You'll also have an opportunity to put your creativity to work. From developing marketing collateral and outreach materials to helping promote workshops, events, and SBDC services, you'll play an important role in increasing awareness and connecting entrepreneurs and business owners with valuable resources. Most importantly, we're looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people. You'll interact with clients, community partners, business owners, presenters, and colleagues, so exceptional customer service, communication, follow-through, and relationship-building skills are essential. If you thrive on variety, enjoy being the person who keeps the details organized while helping the bigger picture come together, and want your work to contribute to the success of entrepreneurs and small businesses in our communities, this could be an exciting opportunity for you. Bring your organization, creativity, energy, and can-do attitude to the SBDC—and help us turn great programs, strong connections, and community engagement into opportunities for local businesses to succeed. 1. Coordinates administrative and operational functions for the Small Business Development Center (SBDC), including scheduling, correspondence, purchasing, records management, and general program support, using spreadsheets, databases, teleconferencing platforms, and other office technologies to perform daily tasks. 2. Assist Director with preparing and processes reports, requisitions, purchase orders, financial documentation, and required materials for grant and compliance reporting. 3. Supports tracking of program budgets, event costs, and financial transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with College and grant requirements. 4. Coordinates logistics for client workshops and events, including planning, registration, materials preparation, facilitation support, and follow-up activities. 5. Serves as a liaison among clients, staff, faculty, and community partners, ensuring clear communication, building trust, and maintaining positive working relationships with diverse clients and stakeholders to support coordinated service delivery. 6. Maintains, creates and distributes on multiple platforms marketing of programs and events. Tracks attendance, surveys and data entry of event activities. 7. Monitors and maintains departmental files, supplies, operational resources, and support systems to ensure efficient workflow and program continuity. 8. Coordinates operational needs by submitting and following up on IT, facilities, purchasing, or logistical requests to resolve issues and support Center operations. 9. Attends SBDC workshops, PCC events, and community partner activities as required to support Center operations. 10. Applies critical thinking to evaluate situations, anticipate issues, and make appropriate decisions within the scope of the role. 11. Responds to changing priorities, facilitates resolution of routine operational issues, and supports continuous improvement of Center processes. 12. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
