Yuma Elementary School District One Coordinator Medicaid Program Purpose Statement The job of the Coordinator - Medicaid Program is done for the purpose/s of managing the district's medicaid program. Responsibilities include overseeing the successful operations of the program, meeting all compliance requirements and ensuring that the district is maximizing the medicaid program potential. This job reports to Assistant Director of Finance Essential Functions Manages and is responsible for all elements of the district's medicaid program; oversees the documentation submitted by school personnel to ensure compliance and program requirements are met. Provides supervision and support to assigned Medicaid technicians to ensure alignment with district policies and achievement of program goals and objectives. Collaborates and communicates with internal and external personnel (e.g. site administrators, school personnel, outside agencies, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring success of the Medicaid program and meeting compliance expectations. Compiles data from a wide variety of sources (e.g. audit requests, compliance reporting, budget analysis, etc.) for the purpose of analyzing issues, ensuring compliance with organization policies and procedures, and/or monitoring program components; Develops policies, procedures and employee guides regarding the Medicaid Program; verifies Medicaid Program eligibility status. Coordinates and conducts training events, seminars designed to assist district staff in performing Medicaid approved health and behavioral outreach activities. Conducts site visits for the purpose of monitoring program procedures, consulting with staff, and ensuring compliance with program guidelines. Manages assigned program and/or departmental responsibilities (e.g. budgets, training programs, professional development, applications, compliance worksheets, assessments, etc.) for the purpose of achieving organizational objectives and ensuring compliance with legal, financial and District requirements; Responsible to track program budget and reporting; oversees and manages site budget allocations, etc. Prepares and maintains manual and electronic files and/or records (e.g. budgets, audit reporting, compliance training, etc.) for the purpose of documenting activities and issues, meeting compliance requirements, providing audit references, making presentations and/or providing supporting materials for requested actions. Researches a wide variety of information (e.g. program requirements, compliance updates, trainings, etc.) for the purpose of developing new programs/services, ensuring program compliance with established requirements, securing general information and/or responding to requests; Responsible to ensure that program updates, changes, and compliance factors are current and aligned with State and Federal regulations. Responds to inquiries for the purpose of resolving problems, providing information and/or referring to appropriate personnel. Serves as a resource to others for the purpose of explaining procedures conveying and/or receiving information as needed for the planning, developing and evaluating of services. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit. Minimum Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities SKILLS are required to perform multiple, technical tasks with a potential need to upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions. Specific skill based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: operating standard office equipment including using pertinent software applications; performing standard bookkeeping; planning and managing projects; and preparing and maintaining accurate records; analyzing budgets; conducting meetings; promoting activities and/or events.KNOWLEDGE
is required to perform basic math, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios; read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others; and solve practical problems. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: bookkeeping principles; concepts of grammar and punctuation; office application software including relational databases; and conflict resolution.; age appropriate behavior; interviewing techniques and practices; knowledge of community resources; methods of instruction and training. ABILITY is required to schedule a number of activities, meetings, and/or events; gather, collate, and/or classify data; and use basic, job-related equipment. Flexibility is required to work with others in a wide variety of circumstances; work with data utilizing defined but different processes; and operate equipment using defined methods. Ability is also required to work with a diversity of individuals and/or groups; work with a variety of data; and utilize specific, job related equipment. Problem solving is required to analyze issues and create action plans. Problem solving with data requires independent interpretation of guidelines; and problem solving with equipment is limited. Specific ability based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: networking and facilitating internal and external groups; communicating with diverse groups and individuals; meeting deadlines and schedules; working as part of a team; leading, delegating and organizing tasks; and managing multiple projects.Responsibility Responsibilities include:

Working Environment The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 55% sitting, 25% walking, and 20% standing. This job is performed in a generally clean and healthy environment. Experience Job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility is required. Education High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
