Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel Immerse yourself in the sun-soaked southwest by taking your next Physical Therapy assignment in vibrant Yuma, AZ. This travel opportunity not only places you at the doorstep of the Colorado River and beautiful desert scenery but also lets you expand your clinical expertise in an acclaimed hospital setting. Yuma offers a rich blend of adventure and relaxation—perfect for desert hikes, off-roading excursions, or soaking up local culture during your downtime. In this hospital-based physical therapy role, you'll collaborate with a diverse medical team and encounter a wide spectrum of acute inpatient cases, including post-surgical recovery, cardiac and pulmonary diagnoses, and more. You'll observe and adapt to varied leadership and workflows while strengthening your patient care and interdisciplinary communication—valuable additions to any resume. This summer coverage role offers a unique chance to broaden your clinical skills, work with new populations, and enjoy a supportive environment designed for professional advancement. Schedule/Hours Choose from 5x8-hour shifts with flexible weekend coverage (2-3 days/month), or 4x10-hour shifts (Sunday-Wednesday or Wednesday-Saturday) Holiday coverage rotates; no self-scheduling Key Qualifications Graduation from an APTA-accredited Physical Therapy program (or equivalent) Current AZ PT license or Compact eligibility required Active AHA BLS certification At least 1 year of PT experience outside clinicals (new grads with strong acute inpatient clinicals considered) Familiarity with acute pathology, lab values, interdisciplinary care practices Comfortable with a caseload of 8-10 patients per day; experience with teamwork and delegation is a must Core Responsibilities Evaluate, plan, and execute individualized treatment plans Communicate goals and progress with patients, families, and medical teams Adapt to shifts in caseloads and cover various hospital units including ED & Med-Surg Supervise and delegate tasks to PTAs and support staff Participate in departmental improvement initiatives and maintain documentation standards Benefits & Travel Perks Tax-advantaged travel stipends and comprehensive travel support Premium compensation structure for summer start dates Healthcare benefits, 401(k) with match, and job security Opportunity to gain experience in diverse practice settings and add unique skills to your portfolio Set your career in motion while exploring Arizona's thriving southwest. to embark on a professionally rewarding travel experience!
