ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a dependable, organized, and people-centered Program Support Specialist to serve as the front-line point of contact for our clients, and visitors. You'll keep our office running smoothly, ensure records are accurate and compliant, and provide essential support to program staff and leadership across both our DUI and Outpatient Drug-Free (ODF) programs. This is a great opportunity for someone with office or human services experience who wants to make a real difference in their community.
Hours:
40 hours/week (Monday-Saturday)

Bakersfield, CA (on-site)
Pay:
Competitive hourly rate, $18

Program Support Supervisor
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Client Services & Reception
  • Welcome clients and visitors in person and by phone with warmth and professionalism
  • Assist clients with intake paperwork, consent forms, and enrollment documentation
  • Schedule and confirm appointments for intake, counseling, group sessions, and assessments
  • Collect client fees, issue receipts, and maintain accurate payment records
  • Answer questions about program services, eligibility, and enrollment Records & Documentation
  • Maintain client files in compliance with
HIPAA, 42 CFR
Part 2, and DHCS documentation standards
  • Enter and update client data in our Electronic Health Record (EHR) and/or PAVE system
  • Track DUI client attendance and prepare court-required progress and completion reports
  • Support compliance staff with chart audits, record pulls, and documentation review Administrative & Office Support
  • Coordinate room scheduling for counselor sessions and group classes
  • Order and manage office and program supplies within budget guidelines
  • Assist with preparation for regulatory monitoring visits and audits
  • Provide general administrative support to VP of Operations and program leadership
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Required :
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
  • At least 1 year of experience in an office, human services, or healthcare administrative role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams)
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of client and organizational information
  • Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable working with diverse populations Preferred (but not required):
  • Experience in substance use disorder treatment, behavioral health, or social services
  • Bilingual English/Spanish — preferred
  • Familiarity with Medi-Cal, DUI program documentation, or DHCS requirements
Conditions of Employment:
  • Background check required (per California law and DHCS standards)
  • Pre-employment drug screening required
  • Valid California driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
