The Education Program Coordinator is the first point of contact for anyone seeking housing counseling support and resources and plays a key role in the success of the department's goals. They assist the Program Manager in delivering pre-and-post purchase education and counseling, ensuring that program participants successfully fulfill all completion requirements. This role will also support the SVP of Programs with credit card reconciliation and other administrative tasks.SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Customer Service/Program Participant Support Monitor Education & Counseling inbox and phone line and respond to general inquiries Track participant progress, including course registration, attendance, and completion requirements, regularly communicating with and keeping them informed along the way Support in-person and virtual education activities, including information sessions, workshops and special events Connect participants and community members to additional resources and services as appropriate Administrative Organize and support in-person and virtual education activities Prepare, print, and distribute program materials, certificates, and other resources Support event logistics, such as venue, vendor and volunteer coordination and registration Help coordinate scheduling and tracking of individual housing counseling sessions Manage Education & Counseling calendar of events and workshops Take meeting notes and track action items and deadlines Maintain organized file structures in Microsoft Teams Track expenses and reconcile with the monthly expense report Perform other general administrative duties as assigned Oversee the management of receipts, conduct credit card reconciliations, and process check requests Support logistical planning and coordination for departmental events, activities, and meetings Undertake additional general administrative tasks as directed by the Senior Vice President of Programs Marketing Collaborate with Marketing & Communications team to promote events and share accurate program information via promotional materials, website and social media Collect participant data to evaluate program success and develop story concepts highlighting Housing Counseling program Assist in preparing information for grants and funding requests to support Education and Counseling programs to donors and the broader agencySUMMARY OF JOB QUALIFICATIONS
At least one year of experience in customer service, program coordination, administrative support, housing services, or a related role. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, calendars, and participant records. Experience tracking participant registration, attendance, progress, and program completion requirements. Ability to coordinate in person and virtual workshops, information sessions, meetings, and special events. Experience supporting event logistics, including registration, venues, vendors, volunteers, and program materials. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and shared file-management systems. Basic experience tracking expenses, organizing receipts, reconciling credit-card transactions, and processing check requests preferred. Ability to prepare correspondence, certificates, reports, presentations, and other program materials. Ability to take clear meeting notes and follow up on action items and deadlines. Comfortable collecting and organizing program data for reporting, evaluation, grant requests, and participant success stories. Ability to collaborate effectively with Programs, Marketing and Communications, donors, vendors, volunteers, and community partners. Familiarity with housing counseling, homebuyer education, financial education, or community-resource referrals preferred. Availability to support occasional evening or weekend workshops, meetings, or events, as needed. Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.COMPENSATION
Pay Range:
