Job Description

International Student Program Coordinator Valley Christian High School is seeking a full-time International Student Program Coordinator. The International Student Program Coordinator provides leadership and oversight for the school's International Student Program. S(H)e is responsible for implementing and managing all aspects of the program including international recruitment, admissions coordination, immigration compliance, host family placement, and student support. The International Student Program Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between Valley Christian Schools, international student agencies, host families, biological families, and regulatory agencies to ensure the successful operation and growth of the International Student Program while supporting the mission of Christian education. Responsibilities Implement and evaluate the International Student Program in alignment with the mission and strategic goals of Valley Christian Schools. Establish recruitment strategies and enrollment targets to maintain and grow international student participation. Coordinate international student recruitment, application review, and admissions processes. Exercise professional judgment in evaluating international student applications and determining program eligibility. Prepare and maintain required documentation for student visas (e.g., I-20 forms) Ensure compliance with federal regulations (e.g., U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP)). Oversee the host family program including recruitment, screening, and placement of host families. Evaluate and approve host family placements using professional judgment and established program standards. Act as the communication liaison between VCHS, international student agencies, host families, and biological families of international students Plan and oversee orientation program as well as cultural, educational, and community activities that support international student development. Monitor international student program accounts including tuition payments, fees, and related financial documentation Maintain program records, contracts, and communications with partner agencies. Monitor student well-being, academic adjustment, and cultural integration while providing mentorship consistent with Christian values. Exercise professional discretion to address issues affecting international students, host families, and program operations. Evaluate program effectiveness and recommend improvements to school leadership. Perform other duties related to the successful administration and development of the International Student Program as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, International Studies, Communications, or a related field required. Experience with immigration documentation and visa processes preferred. Experience managing international student programs, admissions processes, or cross-cultural educational programs preferred. Experience developing or managing programs for high school students or young adults (preferred) Strong organizational and program management skills. Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion when working with students, families, and external partners. Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to build relationships with international partners and agencies. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriate Committed Christian who lives out his/her faith daily Committed to Christian Education Willingness to participate in other VCS extracurricular activities as a coach, mentor, teacher, or moderator Active membership/attendance at a Protestant Christian church (preferably CRC or RCA denomination) is required.
