This includes life skills, coping skills, recovery-focused wellness classes, and family-centered activities that support stability, self-sufficiency, and long-term housing success. The position also provides child watch services in the Family Resource Center to support caregiver engagement in programming. This role is structured as approximately 75% adult and family programming and 25% child watch and family resource support. This position may be supported through funding sources including CalAIM and Day Habilitation programming, as applicable.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adult & Family Programming (75%)
  • Plan, develop, and facilitate group-based classes and workshops
  • Deliver life skills, coping skills, recovery-focused wellness, and parenting education
  • Create structured curriculum and lesson plans
  • Foster a trauma-informed and engaging group environment
  • Track attendance and program outcomes
  • Collaborate with case managers on participant goals
  • Coordinate family engagement activities and events Family Resource Center & Childwatch Support (25%)
  • Provide safe, developmentally appropriate child supervision
  • Support early learning and enrichment activities
  • Maintain a welcoming Family Resource Center environment
  • Assist with playgroups, family activities, and events
  • Ensure compliance with child safety and mandated reporting requirements Program Coordination & Administrative Duties
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation
  • Assist with scheduling, supplies, and room setup
  • Participate in team meetings and program planning
  • Support community partnerships and referrals
  • Follow agency policies and confidentiality standards Additional Duties
  • Receive training and maintain competency in drug and alcohol testing procedures
  • Conduct drug and alcohol testing as required in accordance with agency policy and program guidelines Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • Experience facilitating groups or workshops required
  • Experience working with families experiencing trauma or homelessness preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care principles
  • Strong group facilitation skills
  • Ability to engage diverse participants
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills
  • Ability to manage group dynamics and de-escalate conflict Special Requirements
  • Valid California Driver's License (if applicable)
  • Background check and Live Scan clearance
  • Mandated Reporter training compliance Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Sit for extended periods; frequently stand and walk; normal manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; lift and move objects weighing up to 25 lbs; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal communication; use of office equipment, including computer, telephone, calculator, copiers, and FAX.
Occasional driving to attend meetings. Requirements are representative of minimum levels of knowledge, skills, and experience required. To perform this job successfully, the worker must possess the abilities and aptitudes to perform each duty proficiently Work is performed in office, community, and community shelter environments; work is performed with people who may exhibit unstable and potentially violent behavior; continuous contact with clients, the general public, and other staff. Some evening and weekend hours will be required.
