Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Program Lead to spearhead youth development initiatives within our organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead engaging programs that foster growth, learning, and positive experiences for children and teenagers. As a Program Lead, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supervising a variety of youth activities that promote development, teamwork, and community involvement. Your leadership will inspire young participants while ensuring a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment. This paid position is ideal for someone passionate about youth engagement, education, and outdoor activities who thrives in a fast-paced, energetic setting. Responsibilities Plan, organize, and facilitate diverse youth programs including educational activities, sports, arts, theater, and outdoor adventures. Manage daily program operations ensuring all activities adhere to safety protocols and developmental best practices. Supervise children and teenagers during activities, maintaining high standards of child supervision and behavior management. Implement first aid protocols promptly when necessary; operate AED (Automated External Defibrillator) equipment in emergencies. Collaborate with team members to develop age-appropriate curricula that support childhood development and early childhood education principles. Foster a positive environment by encouraging teamwork, leadership skills, and personal growth among participants. Maintain detailed records of attendance, incident reports, and program evaluations to ensure continuous improvement. Requirements Proven experience working with children or youth programs; background in childcare or daycare preferred. Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle behavioral challenges effectively. Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and first aid protocols required; ongoing training encouraged. Experience with special education needs or youth group activity facilitation is highly desirable. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of staff or volunteers. Outdoor work experience preferred; comfortable leading outdoor activities and sports coaching sessions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage children of various ages in meaningful activities. Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices.
