The Program Lead is responsible for creating a safe, structured, and engaging environment where elementary students can begin their day with confidence, physical activity, and positive social interactions. This position requires exceptional leadership, communication, classroom management, and organizational skills while maintaining the high standards and positive culture of Kicks to Learn. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Lead the daily operation of the morning program while ensuring all Kicks to Learn policies, procedures, and safety standards are followed. Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to welcome students in a positive and professional manner. Supervise students at all times, maintaining a safe, structured, and inclusive environment. Implement age-appropriate sports, games, team-building activities, and structured enrichment activities that promote physical activity, social-emotional learning, teamwork, and student engagement. Utilize positive classroom management strategies that align with Kicks to Learn expectations and district policies. Build positive relationships with students while modeling respect, integrity, responsibility, and sportsmanship. Communicate professionally with school administration, teachers, parents, and Kicks to Learn management. Monitor student attendance and ensure accurate daily documentation. Complete required reports, incident documentation, and attendance records accurately and on time. Supervise, support, and provide direction to assigned coaching staff to ensure consistent program quality. Provide ongoing coaching and support to staff through modeling, feedback, and daily leadership. Ensure equipment is organized, maintained, and stored properly at the end of each program. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional program space. Respond appropriately to emergencies by following district and Kicks to Learn emergency procedures. Administer first aid within certification guidelines and immediately report injuries or incidents to management. Attend all required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions. Represent Kicks to Learn with professionalism both on and off campus. Qualifications & Experience Experience working with elementary-aged children in an educational, recreation, youth development, sports, or childcare setting. Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred. Strong classroom management and behavior management skills. Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate programming. Ability to lead structured sports, recreational activities, and enrichment programs. Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and coworkers. Current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain certification upon hire). Ability to work independently while demonstrating initiative and sound judgment. Experience working with diverse student populations, including students with varying behavioral or learning needs, is preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, run, bend, kneel, and actively participate in outdoor and indoor activities for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds of sports equipment and program materials. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
