FFSC Sexual Assault Response Coordinor (SARC) Department of the Navy Commander, Navy Installions Command CNRSW Naval Base Coronado N91 Summary This position is assigned to the FFSC; FFR; CNIC; Naval Base Coronado. Serves as the installion commander's subject mter expert on all sexual assault prevention and response issues. Serves as a liaison with the installion Commanding Officer on all mters of victim support, SAPR training requirements and SAPR policy implemention. Provides crisis intervention, advocacy and support to victims of sexual assault. This includes providing informion on available options and resources to assist the victim in making informed decisions about the case. Accompanies the victim, upon the victim's request, to interviews, medical examinions and appointments and court proceedings. Maintains contact with the victim throughout the medical, investigive and judicial processes. Provides a warm hand-off to the gaining SARC when a victim transfers to a new duty stion. Ensures a trained SAPR Victim Advoce (VA) is assigned to each victim. The incumbent serves as co-chair of the Sexual Assault Case Management Group (SACMG). Provides overall management and oversight of the installion's SAPR VA program. Oversees the recruitment, selection, training, and certificion of SAPR VAs. Manages initial and continuing educion requirements and tracks certificions for all advoces. Coordines and provides annual sexual assault prevention and response training, general military training, and specialized training to command leadership, points of contact, and SAPR program personnel. This includes coordining and/or conducting training and providing SAPR presentions, briefings, and General Military Training (GMT). Coordines prevention and awareness campaigns and special events. Ensures all required da is entered into the Defense Sexual Assault Incident Dabase DSAID for all unrestricted and restricted reports of sexual assault. Ensures th all required DSAID follow-up is completed in a timely manner. The incumbent required to work a fluctuing work week, to include evenings and weekends, to meet program needs, and required to respond to calls after hours. Requirements Help Conditions of employment Must provide proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Nional. A valid Ste driver's license is required to opere motor vehicles. Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verificion check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment. Must meet federal suitability requirements including successful completion of background investigion and obtain/maintain a Secret Security Clearance (T3). A tentive offer of employment rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any scheduled appointments. Upon hire, as a condition of employment, the applicant must successfully complete, obtain, and maintain Defense Sexual Assault Advoce Certificion Program (D-SAACP) certificion. This position requires weekly travel in support of Naval Air Facility El Centro (NAFEC) Qualificions Completion of a four-year degree in behavioral health, social science, or criminal justice. Three years of experience th demonstres acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral health or social sciences equivalents to a major in the field OR an approprie combinion of educion and experience th demonstres possession of knowledge and skill equivalent to th gained in the above Experience with the Navy SAPR program preferred Must have the ability and skill to provide effective trainings and briefings The ability to maintain accure stistics for program da collection and reports Must have the ability to understand, be sensitive to, and have emphy for victims; must have the ability to develop trusting helping relionships and to work effectively with individuals and families from diverse racial, ethnic, religious and socioeconomic backgrounds. Must have the ability to intervene in crisis situions, using sound professional judgment, ethical practice and common sense Must be able to work cooperively with military and civilian medical, social service, law enforcement and legal personnel on behalf of victims Must be skilled in written and verbal communicion; and have knowledge of Microsoft Office suite and use of office software applicions and equipment Must be able to communice clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing in English Educion To be qualified for these positions, candides must the qualificion identified below.
