Full Job Description Position Summary:
The Part-Time Program Specialist
I, II, III
will be responsible for managing services and goal objectives for individuals in the program, ensuring they receive the support they need to succeed in their employment and personal development. This role requires the use of various job coaching techniques to help the individuals we serve master job duties, meet employer expectations, and track progress. The specialist will also provide follow-along interventions, including advocacy and skill training, while maintaining detailed documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Duties and Responsibilities Manage services and goal objectives for the individuals we serve. The specialist in this role will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of services and the achievement of individualized goals for individuals enrolled in the program. This includes monitoring progress toward objectives, ensuring that services align with each individual's unique needs and support plans, and making necessary adjustments to enhance outcomes. Coordination with staff, families, and executive leadership will be essential in promoting individuals' success and program quality. Serves as a positive role model to individuals and other employees, modeling appropriate work skills, behavior, and social interactions. The specialist will exemplify professionalism and workplace appropriateness in all interactions, serving as a role model for both individuals and employers. By demonstrating strong work habits, effective communication, and respectful behavior, the individual will help reinforce desired social and vocational behaviors, setting a standard for individuals to emulate in their employment settings. Utilizes a variety of job coaching techniques to meet the individuals and employer's needs. To include identification and analysis of work performed, aiding the individuals in mastering job duties, ensuring that work to be performed by the individuals meets employer expectations, documentation of progress, noting stabilization and recommending transition to follow-along services. This role requires the use of diverse and adaptive job coaching strategies to support individuals' success in the workplace. The individual will assess job tasks, break them down into teachable steps, and assist individuals in learning and mastering duties. They will ensure that the individual's work meets employer standards, track and document the individual's progress, and determine when the individual has stabilized in the role. Once stability is achieved, the individual will recommend and facilitate a smooth transition to follow-along services. Provides follow-along interventions to individuals they serve; interventions may include but not limited to the following: advocacy, job coaching, skill training, assessment and referral. Ongoing follow-along support is provided to individuals through a range of personalized interventions. These may include offering job coaching, providing counseling to address workplace or personal challenges, advocating on behalf of the individuals with employers, delivering skill-based training, performing assessments, and referring individuals to additional community resources or services as needed to promote continued employment success. Uses team approach to share information on individuals' progress or other relevant information; with Creative Employment Services management, Regional Center, and/or family members. The specialist will participate in a collaborative, team-based approach to service delivery by regularly communicating relevant updates on individuals' progress to internal team members, Regional Center representatives, and family members. This coordination ensures transparency, supports consistency across executive leadership, and enhances the quality of care and support for each individual. Participate in developing and reviewing the annual, bi-annual, and or quarterly supported employment service plans for individuals you serve. The specialist will contribute to the development and review of employment service plans for individuals they serve. These plans are created and updated on an annual, bi-annual, or quarterly basis and are used to outline goals, document progress, and adjust supports to meet evolving individual needs. Participate in training to improve skills in the use of structure training techniques for teaching job performance skills, job-related skills, and work behavior. The specialist is expected to attend and actively participate in professional development opportunities aimed at enhancing their ability to use structured training methods. These skills are essential for effectively teaching individuals job performance tasks, workplace behavior, and employment-related skills in a supportive and systematic manner. Provide supervision of program individuals at work sites. This role includes direct supervision of program individuals at their places of employment to ensure safety, task completion, and appropriate workplace behavior. The individual will monitor performance, provide on-site coaching as needed, and maintain strong communication with both the individuals and employer. Responsible for documentation of services provided, case notes, notable occurrence, processing of time sheets, and attendance records to ensure compliance with federal, state, and agency regulations. Accurate and timely documentation is a critical function of this position. The specialist is responsible for maintaining comprehensive records of all services provided, including case notes, incident reports, timekeeping, and attendance logs. These records must be maintained in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and agency standards. Participates in any agency-required training. The specialist will comply with all agency training requirements by attending scheduled sessions that may include compliance, safety, skills development, or professional conduct, ensuring continued readiness and alignment with agency expectations. Serve as a role model for Creative Employment Services, Inc. staff promoting the agency Statement of Purpose, Vision, Values and Philosophy. In this capacity, the specialist will represent and embody the agency's mission, vision, values, and overall philosophy in both attitude and behavior. They will model integrity, compassion, professionalism, and dedication in their daily interactions with individuals, coworkers, and community partners. Foster agency and program wide cooperation and teamwork through use of positive / constructive communication techniques. The specialist will actively contribute to a culture of teamwork and cooperation by using respectful, clear, and solution-oriented communication. They will support a collaborative work environment and help resolve conflicts constructively, promoting healthy workplace relationships across programs. Ensure and comply with all Creative Employment Services, Inc. policies and procedures. The specialist must consistently follow all agency policies and procedures, particularly those related to the confidentiality and privacy of the individuals served. Compliance with all applicable laws and ethical standards is mandatory and must be upheld at all times. Program Specialist III, may require leadership and training responsibilities as needed In the role of a Program Specialist III, the specialist may be called upon to assume leadership responsibilities and assist in training less experienced staff. This may include mentoring, delivering skill-building sessions, and providing guidance to ensure consistent service delivery and staff development throughout the agency. Performs additional duties, as assigned by leadership. This includes assisting with operational tasks or responsibilities necessary to support organizational efficiency, compliance, and program operations.
Qualifications:
Prior to hiring the leadership team/human resources will conduct the employment interview with prospective specialists. Applications will be completed, and prospective employees must complete the following procedure prior to starting work. The Staff must also adhere to the following: Must be 18 years of age Health Screening Clearance with TB clearance results (Fingerprint Clearance, DOJ and Child Abuse Index Clearance) prior to hire Signed Criminal Record Statement Signed Dependent Adult Abuse Reporting Requirement References and verification of experience will be checked and cleared by Program Director Clean DMV record. H6 print out.
