Job Description
PROGRAM DIRECTOR OVERALL OBJECTIVE
The Program Director shall coordinate, implement and supervise all programs and services of the Adult Day Health Care Center. The Program Director shall be at the center during all times of center operation and will act as the Administrator during periods of the Administrator's absence. The Program Director will ensure that all policies and procedures of the Adult Day Health Care Center, applicable laws and licensing requirements will be followed at all times.RESPONSIBLE TO

1.Personnel:
a. Responsible for providing adequately trained and sufficient staffing of the center at all times. b. Makes recommendations to the Administrator for firing, evaluations and termination of all employees. Makes recommendations regarding personnel problems and needs. c. Coordinates all staff meetings and in-service training programs to meet requirements of all licensing and certifying agencies. d. Follows all labor laws and legal employment practices. e. Responsible for developing the program in accordance with the needs of the participants served. f. Evaluate participants' changing needs and adjust program as necessary. 2.ADHC Contract Services:
a. Coordinates all contract services for the ADHC program including PT., OT., ST., Psych., M.D., Registered Dietitian, Pharmacy, etc. b. Makes recommendations to the Administrator for hiring and termination of all contract staff. 3.Participant Programs And Activities:
a. Responsible for monitoring all programs and services of the ADHC center for providing effective programs that assist participants to function as high as possible. b. Provides training on behavior management care techniques. c. Meets all licensing requirements for ADHC regulations at all times. d. Supervises all intake and assessment processes and all treatments being provided. e. Supervises all participant files, documentation and record keeping to insure that they are maintained and up-to-date. f. Assists with participant care and other functional duties as needed. g. Supervises the implementation of each individualADHC IPC.
h. Chairs the Multi-Disciplinary ADHC Team 4.Health/Safety/Sanitation:
a. Ensure a healthy, safe and clean facility at all times to control potential accidents and injury of anyone on site. 5.Facility Maintenance:
a. Ensures all aspects of housekeeping of facility both inside and outside are maintained. b. Supervise facility in excellent condition at all times. c. Make recommendations to the Administrator for maintenance needs. d. Monitor work of maintenance contractors. 6.Marketing and Public Relations:
a. Assists the Administrator in designing marketing and public relations plan for the center and monitors all responsibilities. b. Represents the agency to the community, other organizations, individuals, businesses and services. c. Markets for recruiting and maintaining inquiries. d. Participates in community networking. 7.Advocacy:
a. Functions as an advocate of elderly concerns. 8.Quality Assurance:
a. Monitors and observes all programs and services for quality assurance. b. Coordinates participation in all evaluations for quality assurance such as the Utilization Review Committee, questionnaires, etc. c. Develops quality assurance systems with the Administrator; 9.Administrative Duties:
a. Keeps the Administrator fully informed at all times. b. Works as an integral coordinator and participant of a management team concept. c. Maintains all records required by the agency, licenses and contracts. d. Maintains various up-to-date procedures manuals for the position. e. Maintains a working and reference knowledge of all manuals. f. Maintains a master calendar for the position. g. Provides raw service collection data from all staff and tabulates monthly data profiles. h. Maintains a working knowledge of all facility service areas. i. Meets mandated reporting requirements. j. Provides input for strategic planning. k. Makes recommendations for policy changes. 12.Other:

"Program director" shall be a person with both of the following: (1) One of the following backgrounds: (A) A person with a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of two years of experience in a management, supervisory, or administrative position. (B) A person with a Master's Degree and a minimum of one year of experience in a management, supervisory, or administrative position. (C) A Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years experience in a management, supervisory, or administrative position. (2) Appropriate skills, knowledge, and abilities related to the health, and mental, cognitive, and social needs of the participant group being served by the adult day health center. The program director shall be knowledgeable of the physical, mental and social needs of the elderly and be a professional in one of the following: (1) Nursing. (2) Social work. (3) Psychology. (4) Recreation. (5) Occupational therapy. (6) Physical therapy. (7) Speech therapy. (8) Dietetics. (9) Gerontology. .CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Physical clearance for reaching, bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling and grasping; have full range of motion; ability to lift 50 lbs; need to lift and transfer participants; T.B. clearance; must maintain current First Aid and CPR; fingerprint clearance; must have reliable private vehicle, proof of CA drivers license and maintain proof of current vehicle insurance.Job Type:
