Coordinator of Expanded Learning Programs (2026/2027) - 1.0 FTE Livermore Valley Joint Unified Schools Livermore, CA Job Details Full-time 21 hours ago Benefits Dental insurance Vision insurance Qualifications CPR Certification First aid Driver's License Supervising experience Working with children First Aid Certification Performance evaluation Full Job Description Coordinator of Expanded Learning Programs The Coordinator of Expanded Learning is responsible to plan and coordinate an expanded before and after-school care program for all age-eligible children in conjunction with the philosophy, goals and objectives of the school district. These programs may include, but are not limited to, the Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P), After School Education and Safety (ASES), attendance recovery, tutorial programs, and any afterschool programming.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES
Oversees and manages the district's Expanded Learning Opportunities Program per State guidelines. Oversees day to day operations of "out of school learning" program sites and ensures compliance with policies and procedures. Directly supervises Community Liaison, Office Specialists, Site Leads, and Learning Assistants for theASES/ELOP
program Implements, administers, and monitors Attendance Recovery program, providing direct supervision and instruction of students where required. Implements and administers tutorial programs across the district. Prepares the annual program budget and reviews fiscal reports monthly. Monitors program budget of parent fees, State contract funds, and grant funding. Writes grant funding applications, annual child development contract, and requests for other funding as available. Supervises and coordinates with Community Liaison in providing training opportunities for staff. Works closely with the California Department of Education for mandated reports and remains abreast of State updates and trends for program improvement. Collaborate with site principals, family liaisons, social workers and all related staff regarding services at sites. Interviews and processes applicants for job placement in all programs. Conducts annual staff evaluations. Coordinates staff meetings. Approves purchase of program supplies and equipment. Interfaces with school district personnel at school sites to insure communication linkages and coordination of operations. Acts as District representative with private organizations, public agencies, program participants, and other members of the public, organizes and attends meetings as necessary.- Serves as a liaison between community partners that offer out of school care for eligible students.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of:
Budgeting concepts and methods. Principles of supervision, training, and performance evaluation. Facilities and equipment- Thorough knowledge of effective administrative principles, practices, and techniques.
- Knowledge of laws and guidelines regarding after-school and intercession programs Knowledge of laws and guidelines regarding attendance recovery programs Ability to: Work positively with community, parents, site personnel, children and staff.
- Work independently and carry tasks through completion.
- Exercise initiative and creativity in program planning.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EXPERIENCE:
At least three (3) years of experience working in Expanded Learning Programs, supervising, and evaluating programs and employees. Experience working in a director/supervisory capacity, including the supervision of adults.EDUCATION
Possession of a valid Administrative Services Credential; bachelor's degree (BA or BS)..REQUIRED TESTING
Pre-employment Proficiency Test may be required.CLEARANCES
Meet employment requirements as applicable with state, federal, and local laws, and Board policy. Valid California Driver's license is required. First Aid and CPR certification required.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
