PART TIME
- (3-10/hrs a week) The Domestic Violence (DV) Facilitator oversees programs designed to address and rehabilitate individuals who have perpetrated domestic violence. They lead educational sessions and group discussions to help individuals understand the impact of their actions, learn non-violent conflict resolution techniques, and develop skills for healthy relationships. The facilitator collaborates with legal and social service agencies, maintains accurate program records, and ensures compliance with program requirements and standards. Through their guidance and support, they aim to promote accountability, rehabilitation, and the prevention of future violence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in clinical psychology, social work, or related field preferred. One year of experience in a treatment setting preferred. Experience facilitating group sessions. Domestic Violence Facilitator certification preferred. Bilingual Spanish required. A valid California driver's license is required of staff who have regular driving duties, and the driving record must meet the requirements of their position and be approved by the agency's insurance company.
Essential Job Functions:
Operate an agency or personal vehicle for work-related activities which may include, client visits, meetings, trainings, or other agency-related appointments Ensure compliance with driving requirements, including maintaining a valid driver's license, current vehicle registration, and proof of insurance as required by agency policy. Ability to instruct in group and individual settings. Ability to communicate in oral and written form. Ability to work in a harmonious manner with subordinates, supervisors, and others. Physical, mental and emotional health adequate to perform duties. Effectively engage with challenging clients who participate in court ordered services. Possess the ability to motivate clients to successfully complete program. Must possess knowledge of mental health programs and community resources. Possess knowledge and adhere to all applicable legal and ethical issues. Ability to work effectively with cultural/ethnic diversity.
Responsibilities:
Provide group facilitation to meet community needs i.e. domestic violence, etc. Conduct community presentations on various agency programs as requested Keep comprehensive clinical records which meet standards for the accrediting body, and contract. Participate in appropriate community meetings as an agency representative. Complete charting, quarterly, monthly statistics and summaries of treatment for clients as needed. Ongoing evaluation of group schedules with adjustments made as necessary to align with program requirements and objectives. Responsible for preventing and controlling infection. Responsible for maintaining a culture of quality and safety. Effectively use de-escalation skills and techniques for crisis prevention. Properly administer the C-SSRS to help prevent suicide. Interaction is appropriate and sensitive to client's culture. Interaction is appropriate with client's developmental level.
Other:
Attend all required meetings and trainings. Report any suspected child or dependent adult/elder abuse or neglect immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable. Report any client imminent danger to self or to others or gravely disabled immediately to direct supervisor or utilize the chain of command if supervisor is unavailable. Other duties as assigned.
