Assistant In-Home Program Coordinator Day Program(s)Position Classification:
Hourly non-exempt (40+/week) Reports to: Day Programs Coordinator(s)Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the Day Program Coordinator(s) You will: Assists the Day Program Coordinator(s) in implementing services to our participants to include, providing direct support on a scheduled or fill in basis; Support the Day Program Coordinator(s) in monitoring the day-to-day operations of the Chandler Site Day Programs; Support the Day Programs Coordinator(s) in day-to-day implementation of programs; Train Day Program Support Staff in how to work with participants following the individuals Person Centered Plan; Assist the Day Program Coordinator(s) completing weekly and monthly staff trainings; Complete all documentation required on an as needed basis to include daily attendance records, incident reports, and participant program notes PCP's and Community Care Licensing forms etc.; Support Day Program Coordinator(s) in keeping the Day Program facilities in compliance with all Community Care Licensing requirements; Support Day Program Coordinators in completing the daily/weekly/monthly schedules for both staff and participants; Attend Program Plan/Person Centered Planning meetings with participants and their circles of support on an as needed basis; Support Day program Coordinator(s) in monitoring and purchasing supplies from various vendors on as needed basis; Maintaining client and staff files ensuring all documents are up-to-date; Maintain accurate CPR and First Aid certificates for all staff and sign up staff for recertification as needed; Must act as substitute support staff as needed; Meet with Day Program Coordinator(s) for weekly supervision; Ensure timely communication of programmatic matters and pressing issues to the Day Program Coordinators Adhere to MERCI's policies, procedures and the Professional Code of Ethics; Perform all other duties as assigned;Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university in the field of Social Work, Rehabilitation Psychology or related field; or High School Diploma with 3 years' experience in human services delivery system, education and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position; Must have current CA driver's license with acceptable driving record to the organizations insurance carrier; Must pass a health screening, including a TB test clearance; a Criminal Record Clearance, including fingerprinting; Excellent written/verbal skills. English speaking a must, bilingual preferred (especially in Mandarin, Cantonese, Spanish); Excellent knowledge of MS Office; Emerging leadership and communication's skills; Ability to work collaboratively with a strong sense of focus, be task- orientated, non-judgmental, and have a clear sense of boundaries; Ability to motivate others towards achieving their goals - at an individual and team level; Ability to work in a team dynamic to support team development and diversity; Ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse participants and their circles of support, with the ability to be culturally sensitive and appropriate;Job Type:
