Job Description
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Brent's Center Director is responsible for our Teen Center, providing the implementation and the overall oversight of the Brent's Club program as it pertains to running a Brent's Club. The Director develops and provides broad oversight of program activities including funded programs. Brent's Club Director is responsible for the implementation of this Sober Drug and Alcohol prevention programming for youth ages 10-17 yrs old. Director performs related administrative duties including school contracts as it relates to services provided.KEY ROLES
(Essential Job Responsibilities): Leadership Plans and oversees the administration of club-wide programs and activities that supportBoys and Girls Club's Youth Development Strategy:
Ensures quality of program success in accordance with our Misson Statement and program deliverables. Ensures that members are encouraged to participate in a variety of program areas/activities and receive instruction and constructive feedback to develop skills in program area(s). Plan and implement 10-week Drug and Alcohol prevention programming for youth based on age group. Ensure each month youth participate in program offerings that include: weekly meetings, oral drug testing, social skills counseling, community service and incentives. Develop and implement/calendar and program schedule to build awareness and support of the Club, programs, services and activities. Provide Mentoring, Leadership and Supervision to assure proper conduct, safety and development of participants in line with our mission. Demonstrates leadership to assure conduct, safety and dev of members and staff. Strategic Planning Ensure the evaluation of Club programs/staff on a continual basis and ensures programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity. Other duties as assigned will be required as well. You must be flexible as determined by the needs of the program (occasional Saturdays and late-night hours, events). Marketing and Public Relations Increase visibility of Brents Club program via posting of daily/ monthly schedule announcements of upcoming events and the dissemination of timely information for the development of advertising and promotion through mailings, fliers and media releases. Social media post are done on weekly basis promoting programs goals and progress with teens.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Ensure submittal of program reports/data as needed by Foundation Executive Director Schedule special program presentations or events (i.e. Guest Speakers, CHP presentations) Required to drive Club van. Consult with parents concerning members and club issues Develop partnerships with parents, community and maintain visibility. Develop and maintain relationships to increase club visibility within club and community. Approve program expenditures. Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of club facility and equipment and program room. Work with staff on special events to carry out programs in all departments. Exercise authority in problems relating to members; utilize guidance and discipline plan. Assist with the Club transportation program Other duties as assigned will be required as well. You must be flexible as determined by the needs of the program (occasional Saturdays and late night hours).SKILLS/ KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED
Always practice and lead with kindness, respect and compassion College degree or equivalent. Valid California Drivers License Strong project management, administrative and organizational skills. Strong communication skills both oral and written. Demonstrated ability in personnel supervision, facilities management, and the recruitment and retention of key personnel. Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders. Submit to a fingerprint background check, submit a clean DMV H6 report form and CPR/First Aid Certification.Disclaimer:
