Job Summary Program Specialist 1.0 FTE (Special Education) This position is for the 2026-2027 school year Requirements / Qualifications The Program Specialist requires specialized, in-depth, knowledge and experience in serving students with a variety of disabling conditions; supporting teachers, administrators, parents, and coordinating agencies in the delivery of site-based services which meet individual student's unique needs. The Program Specialist will be responsible to participate in staff development training and SELPA (Special Education Local Plan Area) meetings and activities on an ongoing basis to improve the District's service delivery model for special education programs. Credential Copy Letter of Introduction Letter(s) of Recommendation (3 required) Resume Other (Possess a Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field; / Master's Degree in Education or related Special Education field, preferred; / Possess a valid California teaching credential and/or special education clearances including; clinician rehabilitative services credential (SLP) or Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) school psychologist; and / Three (3) years successful teaching experience in a Special Education position.)
