Program Coordinator Reports To:
Regional Manager We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Program Coordinator to join our company's dynamic team supporting our intensivist and anesthesia services at Palmdale Regional Medical Center. As a Program Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of these essential services, coordinating schedules, managing communications, and supporting the program's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support:
Provide administrative assistance to the Medical and Regional Directors, including distributing patient census, scheduling meetings, managing correspondence and incoming calls, preparing reports, and tracking physician bonuses.
Schedule Coordination:
Manage the scheduling of intensivist and anesthesia services, ensuring adequate coverage and efficient allocation of resources.
Communication Facilitation:
Serve as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders, external partners, and healthcare providers involved in the program.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate patient records in StatHealth and ePreop, compile reports for billing, and assist in data gathering to support program evaluation and decision-making.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor service delivery standards, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate with clinical staff to implement quality initiatives.
Provider Onboarding:
Organize training sessions related to the program, including logistics, materials preparation, and participant communication.
Policy and Procedure Compliance:
Ensure adherence to hospital and Benchmark's policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards within the scope of the program.
Office Management:
Keep program office and physicians lounge organized and properly equipped by ordering supplies and equipment as needed.
Customer Service:
Understand the hospitalization process and be a resource for patient inquiries
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with intensivist and anesthesia teams, fostering a collaborative environment to enhance overall program effectiveness.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or related field (preferred). Proven experience in a healthcare setting. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience with HER. Knowledge of healthcare operations, regulations, and compliance standards. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
