Pacific Oaks College and Children's School is recruiting for two (2) Professors (Multiple Subjects Program Lead) - one to run the BA program and one to run the MA program - for their Pacific Oaks College campus in Pasadena, California. About the Position Pacific Oaks College seeks experienced faculty at the Program and Professor level to serve across its academic program in Teacher Education for Multiple Subjects. The Lead Faculty in this role is responsible for all facets of the Multiple Subjects program including assessment, state regulations, faculty advising, all syllabi and rubric monitoring and updates, teaching, adjunct communication and collaboration, scholarship/creative activity, service, and leadership that uphold the College's mission of social justice, applied learning, and inclusive excellence. Responsibilities Deliver graduate and undergraduate courses using evidence-based pedagogy and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) strategies across Canvas and synchronous/asynchronous modalities. Design and refine course materials that align with disciplinary standards, assessment tracking requirements, and program outcomes. Maintain rigorous compliance with professional accreditation and regulatory standards, including CCTC and WSCUC, to ensures curricula meet institutional policies. Engage in ongoing scholarship, research, or creative activity to contribute to the field, disseminating work through professional publications and conferences. Provide academic mentorship and faculty advising to support student progress, professional development, and readiness for ethical, inclusive practice. Lead program and curriculum initiatives while mentoring adjunct faculty to support curriculum enhancement and evidence-informed instruction. Actively participate in College-wide service, including Faculty Senate committees and administrative tasks such as student interviews and orientations.

Minimum Qualifications Doctorate or terminal degree in a relevant discipline. At least five (5) years of relevant professional, clinical, teaching, or research experience in discipline. Demonstrated success in higher education teaching, student mentorship, and curricular design. Commitment to inclusive pedagogy, ethical practice, and the mission of social justice. Experience with writing Pre-conditions reports for the state, and accreditation documents for CTC assessment purposes. Experience with data and evidence tracking for accreditation. Preferred Qualifications Active professional licensure or certification for teaching Multiple Subjects (Multiple Subjects teaching credential). Evidence of sustained scholarship/creative activity and professional leadership. Experience with CTC and/or WASC accreditation and continuous improvement in higher education programs. Experience in mentoring faculty and/or leading curriculum initiatives. Experience with Teacher Performance Assessment (TPA). Location This position is eligible for a combination of remote and onsite work, typically requiring in-person presence on designated days.
