Job Description

Be a part of a team that focuses on hope, transformation, and recovery every day! Join Casa Treatment Center as we support our patients suffering from addiction. Founded in 1967, Casa is one of the only treatment centers in Southern California designed to specifically meet the needs of women in recovery. Casa Treatment Center is a residential, outpatient, and sober living substance abuse facility headquartered in Pasadena. Casa is licensed by the State of California Department of Health Care Services and accredited as a behavioral health care program by the Joint Commission. Job Description The RPS reports to the Residential Site Coordinator and serves as a supportive role in overall operations of the Residential Treatment program assisting the staff and clients through direct and indirect clinical contact. This team member will occasionally be working with clients in emotionally charged situations and must be comfortable and able to maintain composure. They must be able to immediately identify the appropriate staff member to assist clients in stabilization during these charged situations. Responsibilities
    Customer Service:
    The RPS is responsible for providing guidance on how to navigate the Residential Treatment program services and guidelines. They should assist clients in contacting the proper staff member to address any questions that might come up. The RPS has direct contact with clients, family, and their supportive networks.
      Client Drug and Alcohol Testing:
      RPS as a licensed, certified, or registered employee will be conducting routine Urinalysis (UA), Breathalyzer testing and preparing lab sheet and testing materials in compliance with Casa UA testing policy and procedures.
      • Conducts nontechnical routine laboratory tests and procedures under the direction of professional staff.
      • Opens, separates, numbers, and arranges specimens for laboratory examination and trace results.
      • Maintains simple laboratory records and inventory for supplies and reagents.
      • Maintains laboratory equipment and supplies by cleaning and maintaining quality assurance records.
      • Maintains a clean and sanitary work area in accordance with standard laboratory practice and procedures.
      • Conduct groups.
      • Assist admissions with answering phones and obtaining referral information.
      Medication Monitoring:
      The RPS is responsible for following the protocols for Medication Monitoring as defined by the Casa's Policies and Procedures manual. The RPS may be required to facilitate Medication Monitoring, which includes observing and documenting the clients self-administering their medication.
        Campus Monitoring:
        The RPS is responsible for completing ongoing walk-throughs of the property while checking on the clients. They must ensure the safety and cleanliness of the facility. The RPS is responsible for completing and documenting shift checks as defined by the Daily Monitoring Log.
          Crisis Management:
          The RPS is responsible for identifying clients in distress and facilitating contact with the Director of Clinical Services and/or Program Manager to assist the client in emotional regulation and stabilization. The RPS is responsible for reporting to appropriate staff any identified safety concerns or potential hazards on campus and documenting per reporting policies.
            General Office Duties:
            Scanning documents to the Electronic Health Record, printing sign-in sheets and daily schedules, and answering incoming calls. The RPS will assist with client intake, program activities and general offices duties as directed by the management staff.
            • Additional Stars' duties include: (Up to 8 hours a week):
            • Greet and introduce exiting residential women and orient them to the Stars program and promote membership.
            • Create events; Work with Alumnae committees (if needed) to develop and implement events for client, i.e., Bingo, walk-a-thons. Work with Director of Administration to assist in coordination and the fundraising for Stars.
            • Work with Development Director prior to posting events on Facebook about events, fundraisers, movies, BBQ's.
            • Monitor e-mail box and respond to inquiries.
            • Must be available for evenings and weekends.
            • Coordinating on-site and off-site meetings. Supervisory Responsibilities N/A Education, Experience, and Credentials Required This position is best filled by individuals who are patient, flexible, detail oriented, organized and able to adapt to changing priorities.
            • Registered of Certified by CADTP, CAADE, or CCAPP
            • Registered Recovery Worker by accredited board
            • CPR/First Aid Certification
            • Valid CA Driver's License
            • If in recovery, there is a one-year minimum requirement.
            • This position requires that the employee be able to walk up and down stairs and lift at least 25 lbs. This Opportunity after completing probation period
