SCHEDULE
Part-Time, 8-29 hours/week; primarily Monday-Friday with hours varying based on scheduled class times and agency/client needs About Central California Family Crisis Center, Inc. Central California Family Crisis Center, Inc. (CCFCC) is a culturally and linguistically competent multi-service nonprofit organization dedicated to serving those affected by domestic and sexual violence, elder abuse, economic deprivation, and homelessness. We emphasize client-centered, trauma-informed care and work with diverse partners to promote individual, family, and community transformation. CCFCC is a Drug-Free Workplace. Summary of Position The Intervention Program Group Facilitator is responsible for leading psycho-educational intervention groups for individuals who are voluntarily or court-ordered to complete Batterers Intervention, Child Abuse Intervention, Anger Management, and Nurturing Parenting programs. This position requires strong group facilitation skills, accountability-based intervention practices, documentation accuracy, and the ability to work effectively with diverse clients in both English and Spanish. The Group Facilitator must maintain compliance with agency procedures, applicable program requirements, and mandated reporting obligations while supporting client progress and safety. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Group Facilitation & Curriculum Compliance Lead psycho-educational intervention groups of up to 14 individuals.

Anger Management classes are facilitated for 90 minutes; all other intervention classes are facilitated for 2 hours/120 minutes. Facilitate groups for clients participating in 52-week Batterers Intervention, 52-week Child Abuse Intervention, 14-week Anger Management, and 18-week Nurturing Parenting programs. Focus group members on personal responsibility for abusive behavior and ensure the group tone, content, and methods reflect accountability principles. Ensure all lesson plans adhere to approved program curriculum and remain in accordance with Penal Code requirements, including 1203.097, 1203.098, and 273.1. Use educational and counseling techniques to help clients build skills to stop abusive behavior, recognize anger-provoking situations, and confront abuse and its origins. Client Progress, Intervention & Safety Evaluate group members' progress every 12 weeks and provide updates to referring agencies as required. Address deficits in progress with group members in a professional, direct, and appropriate manner. Report and intervene for real threats of self-harm or safety concerns in accordance with agency policy. Communicate problems, concerns, or group dynamic issues promptly to the Counseling Services Lead or designated supervisor. Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with group participants at all times. Documentation, Reporting & Compliance Maintain current, accurate, and confidential client records in accordance with agency policy and program requirements. Adhere to all program policies, procedures, and requirements stated in applicable Penal Codes. Properly and immediately report suspected child abuse and/or neglect, suspected elder abuse, and any other mandated reporting concerns. Maintain accurate statistical records and documentation needed for program monitoring, referrals, and reporting. Ensure confidentiality is maintained in accordance with agency policies and applicable state/federal laws. Cultural Competency, Communication & Professional Development Demonstrate awareness and competency in providing services to multi-ethnic and multi-cultural groups and individuals. Work effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic and cultural backgrounds. Attend supervision meetings with
LCSW/LMFT
regarding the Child Abuse Intervention Program (CAIP) in person or via Zoom. Supervision is typically once a week for one hour and provides feedback, guidance, and an opportunity to address questions or concerns regarding the program or clients. Attend mandatory agency meetings, site-specific meetings, and required trainings. Safely perform duties to avoid injury to self and others. Administrative & Other Duties Use office equipment, agency systems, email, and Microsoft Office/Google tools to complete required work. Perform other duties as assigned that are consistent with the mission and role of CCFCC. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the position.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Health, Psychology, or a related field preferred. A combination of work experience and education may be considered as a substitute for minimum educational requirements. Two years of work history in a social service setting preferred, with experience facilitating psycho-educational groups and working with court-ordered clients preferred.
Skills & Abilities:
Group management skills and knowledge of domestic violence dynamics, substance abuse, anger management, child abuse, co-custody parenting, and the cycle of violence. Crisis intervention skills and firm knowledge of reporting laws are required. Bilingual and biliterate English/Spanish preferred, including the ability to speak, read, write, comprehend, and translate in both languages. Strong written and oral communication skills in both English and Spanish. Ability to plan and facilitate support groups, psycho-educational groups, and public speaking engagements. Computer knowledge and skills required, including Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Other Requirements:
Valid CA driver's license, proof of insurance, and an insurable driving record. Must have a clear State DOJ and FBI criminal background check . •Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.•Completion of a 40-hour Domestic Violence Counselor/Advocate certification (State of CA). Completion of a 40-hour Human Trafficking Victim Advocate certification (State of CA). (If Applicable) Completion of 1-hour Sexual Harassment Prevention Training (non-supervisory, every 2 years). Must not have been a resident of CCFCC Emergency Shelter or any other DV/HT shelter, and must not have been in a DV/HT relationship or recovering from sexual assault, for at least two years. Work Environment The work environment includes a normal office setting and may include work throughout the community. Noise levels range from quiet to moderately noisy. The position requires regular interaction with clients, group participants, agency staff, supervisors, and community or referring partners. The schedule may vary based on scheduled class times, client needs, and agency requirements. Both standing and sitting are required for extended periods. Ability to climb stairs in facilities and client housing. Ability to hear, see, and communicate detailed instructions and information clearly in person and over the phone. Manual dexterity required for repetitive motion using hands, wrists, and/or fingers for computer and office equipment. Additional Information Employment is At-Will.
