As an After School Program Leader, you'll help create a fun, safe, and engaging environment where elementary students can learn, play, and grow after the school day ends. Whether you're pursuing a career in education or have experience working with children, this role offers hands-on experience, professional development, and the opportunity to positively impact students every afternoon. What You'll Do Lead fun, engaging activities including sports, STEM, arts, games, and enrichment Supervise and mentor elementary-aged students Build positive relationships and encourage teamwork and respectful behavior Help create a safe, welcoming, and organized program environment Support daily program setup, transitions, and cleanup Collaborate with school staff and ASSIST team members Who We're Looking For At least 1 year of experience working with children or youth Passion for working with elementary-aged students Reliable, positive, and energetic Strong communication and teamwork skills Comfortable leading groups and keeping students engaged Interested in education, youth development, coaching, or mentoring Requirements Must be 18 years or older 48+ college units, Paraeducator Certificate, or willingness to complete certification LiveScan background clearance required TB clearance required Available Monday-Friday during program hours Growth Opportunities At ASSIST Programs, many of our leaders started as Program Leaders.
