Days & Hours:
Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week. Standard work schedule is 9:00 am to 5:30 PM, may be adjusted. A flexible schedule may require evening and weekend hours during peak periods.
BASIC FUNCTION AND SCOPE OF JOB
The Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all the academic programs are fully coordinated and run efficiently and effectively. This role is responsible for coordination with the Executive Director, or designee (School Leadership), faculty, and indirectly with Tax and LLM advisors to ensure efficient daily support operation of all academic programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Responding to email inquiries coming through the school's respective mailbox: Coordinate and schedule meetings for the Executive Director, or designee, to include faculty meetings. Responding and routing inquiries from current and prospective students. Coordinating Braden School of Taxation Meetings Responding to faculty requests for support Coordinate with faculty and provide support for revisions and updates to course materials. Acting as the point person for tax-related event planning and coordination with internal and external partners. Collaborating with School leadership and faculty on course schedules for each term. This requires coordination with other departments, including the Registrar's Office. Working with School Leadership to oversee enrollments as registration progresses Coordinating and assisting faculty to update their syllabus through GGU Syllabus Act as backup support to faculty with book adoption and coordinating distribution of tax research database access, such as RIA and CCH, or others. Responding to and providing Continuing Education certificates for students who request documentation for CPA or other certifications. This would include maintaining GGU's membership with the IRS Continuing Education program to provide CE credit for Enrolled Agents. The program coordinator may be requested to take on other tasks outside of the Braden School of Taxation, such as assisting with the academic integrity process, updating GGU Syllabus templates, or other academic affairs tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education requirement: Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university required. Master's or other graduate-level degree preferred.
Years of experience:
Minimum three years of increasingly responsible experience in academic administration, student services or a related area preferred.
Knowledge of:
Microsoft software programs, including Teams and SharePoint Direct job-related requirements: Experience with diverse populations in an academic environment is required. Experience working with integrated data management and records systems preferred.
Skills and abilities:
Excellent administrative and organizational skills; ability to plan, manage, and execute projects and events from inception to completion with keen attention to detail under minimal supervision. Excellent oral and written communication skills Organizational skills to manage timelines and keep projects and tasks moving forward. Strong interpersonal skills Ability to interact successfully with academic as well as business and regulatory personnel.
