Job Description

OSS Shift Lead Job Summary The OSS Shift Lead manages real-time operations for on-site staff, ensuring shifts are fully staffed, issues are resolved quickly, and communication flows smoothly between the field and central operations. This role acts as the control center during each shift, keeping operations on track and intervening when problems arise. Responsibilities Assign on-site staff to shifts and ensure full coverage across all active jobs. Monitor attendance, lateness, and no-shows, and take immediate corrective action. Backfill staffing gaps in real time by reassigning personnel or escalating as needed. Troubleshoot operational issues such as late arrivals, setup problems, or participant confusion. Escalate critical issues with clear context and proposed solutions. Serve as the primary point of contact for all inbound and outbound communication with on-site staff during the shift. Respond quickly and clearly to questions, issues, and updates from on-site staff. Coordinate with internal teams such as operations, support, and launch teams as needed. Maintain seamless on-site experiences by ensuring clear direction and timely issue resolution. Requirements 1 3 years of experience in operations, logistics, hospitality, or a similar fast-paced environment. Strong real-time decision-making and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple workflows simultaneously. High level of reliability and responsiveness. Experience in dispatch, shift scheduling, or gig workforce management is a plus. Familiarity with last-mile logistics or on-demand operations is preferred. Skills Real-time operations coordination and shift management. Staff scheduling, attendance monitoring, and gap backfilling. Issue troubleshooting and escalation with clear context and solutions. Cross-functional communication with field and central teams. Multitasking and prioritization in high-pressure environments. Customer and participant experience focus. Summary Qualification Proven experience in operational or logistics roles within fast-paced settings. Demonstrated ability to act as a central point of contact for distributed teams. Track record of resolving operational issues quickly and effectively. Strong communication skills supporting clear, timely updates and directions.
