Supervisor of Career and College Readiness Purpose:
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Administrative Officer of Educational Services and Learning Support, the Supervisor of Career and College Readiness supports the development, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of programs that prepare students for career and postsecondary success. The Supervisor plays a key role in facilitating Career Exploration, Pathway development, Early College Credit, and Work-Based Learning opportunities through active collaboration with industry, K-12, and post-secondary educational partners. Minimum Qualifications & Requirements-
Education:
Master's Degree from an accredited institution.-
Credential:
Valid California Administrative Services Credential.-
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of successful classroom teaching experience at the secondary level (Experience in a certificated position other than teaching at the secondary level may be considered as part of this experience.)-
Leadership:
Demonstrated success in leadership experiences, specifically within the area of Career Technical Education (CTE).-
License:
Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation required. Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Knowledge of state CTE standards, frameworks, and 9-12 transition pathways.
- Familiarity with local businesses, regional workforce trends, and industry networks.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing people, programs, and fiscal resources.
- Strong data literacy, including the ability to collect, organize, and analyze data to evaluate student and program outcomes.
- Interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) with a proven ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Key Personal Characteristics

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Program Implementation & Coordination- Assists in the development and implementation of the District's comprehensive Career and College Readiness Plan.
- Collaborates with staff to develop and refine a rigorous curriculum that meets both academic and industry standards.
- Supports extended-day and junior high early college readiness experiences
- Assists CCR Department staff with marketing, outreach, program implementation, and budget management.
- Partners with higher education institutions to expand early college course offerings (dual/concurrent enrollment and non-credit programs); maintains Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) and College Career Access Pathways (CCAP) agreements.
- Convene K-12 and college faculty to evaluate curriculum for articulation and design clear pathway maps to guide student coursework.
- Oversight of all CCR district events, including the Annual College Fair, Pathway Days, and Outreach Sessions.
- Supports the expansion of Work-Based Learning initiatives, including internships, apprenticeships, school-based businesses, and job-placement programs.
- Maintain compliance with state and federal labor laws and oversee the issuance of student Work Permits. Program Evaluation & Data-Driven Improvement
- Support long/short-term plans for CCR program implementation and evaluation.
- Oversee data collection of student outcomes to inform continuous quality improvement.
- Access and monitor student/school achievement data related to college/career readiness, generating reports and recommendations to support CTE site offerings
- Oversee curriculum alignment with educational standards, equity, and access.
- Oversee CCR access through individualized supports for students from underrepresented groups.
- Ensure all programs provide culturally relevant information and supportive services.
- Monitor changes in state/federal legislation impacting program requirements and funding by attending seminars, conferences, and workshops. Grant Management & Fiscal Oversight
- Assist in writing grant proposals and conduct ongoing research to secure public and private funding sources.
- Ensure all program elements strictly align with federal and state grant guidelines.
- Assist in developing, monitoring, and managing assigned program budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of all required annual compliance reports. Local, Regional, and Community Partnerships
- Maintain and expand relationships that support positive outcomes for students and families.
- Convene community, business, and education partners to connect students to local educational and workforce opportunities.
- Expand career readiness partners, including program advisory committees, local businesses, post-secondary partners, students, teachers, and parents.
- Collaborate with the District's Curriculum and Assessment Department to support schools in implementing structural reform initiatives.
- Meet regularly with the Deputy/Assistant Superintendent, Principals, Counselors, and CCR Department to ensure alignment across systems.
