Job Description
SPIRIT Parent Partner (Bilingual) CALM, Inc.
Overview Description Description:
The SPIRIT program serves children and their families who are underserved and at risk for a high level out-of-county residential placement. The program operates on a community-based, wraparound, evidence-based model, using a "whatever it takes" approach to identify and integrate thoughtful, responsive, and creative interventions for clients and their families. The SPIRIT team is comprised of a County Team Facilitator, County Child and Family Specialist, and CALM's Parent Partner co-located at the Behavioral Wellness Children's Clinic. The collaboration allows the program to provide a full-service partnership for clients, where clients receive a full spectrum of services to achieve the goals identified in their individualized Client Service Plan. The Parent Partner provides individualized, peer to peer support to parents.Requirements:
Meet with families regularly and consistently to encourage and support an understanding of their vision for the future. Attend and participate in all Child and Family Team meetings. Maintain cooperative working relationships with parents, families, and clients. Complete all agency required documentation, including progress notes and assessments, in a timely manner and according to agency policy and best practice. Participate in regular administrative supervision, clinical/group supervision, and agency-wide meetings. Attend trainings and conferences as needed or required by program manager. Participate in community education and outreach. Maintain an expected caseload as outlined in the staff's program. Maintain expected agency productivity standards. Education and/orExperience :
Must be the biological, adoptive, kin parent, or non-related family member of a youth with emotional or behavioral challenges or have lived experience with their child receiving services in a child services system (i.e., mental health, child welfare, probation, or special education)Qualifications:
Bilingual in English and Spanish required Must have respect for confidentiality; ability to work with discretion and integrity Strong computer skills, including Microsoft office and web-based systems. Proficient in use of Zoom. Able to adapt to using various types of software Proven skills in problem-solving and decision-making with initiative and mature judgment Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team is essential Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate in a positive manner Strong verbal and written communication skills Must have a valid California driver's license, clean DMV record and criminal record clearance from theDOJ CALM
Compensation and Benefits:
Our benefits package includes a competitive salary with hourly compensation ranging from $24 to $32 dependent on experience and education. Benefits include 100% Employer paid medical, dental, vision, life insurance for employees plus partial benefits for dependent family members, 13 paid holidays, generous vacation time and sick days and a 403(b) 3% matching program.To :
