CHAN is dedicated to promoting healthy lifestyles and improving the well-being of our community through nutrition education initiatives. We seek a passionate and organized Program Coordinator to join our team and play a crucial role in advancing our mission.
Job Summary:
As a Program Coordinator for our Nutrition Education Program, you will assist with implementing and evaluating nutrition education initiatives. You will work closely with program participants, volunteers, and stakeholders to ensure the success of our programs. Your role will involve managing program logistics, coordinating educational activities, and monitoring program outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Planning and Development:
Collaborate with the Program Manager to develop and refine program goals, objectives, and strategies. Create detailed program plans, including timelines. Identify and secure necessary resources, materials, and partnerships to support program activities.
Program Implementation:
Organize and oversee nutrition education workshops, classes, and events. Coordinate participant registration and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed. Train and supervise program volunteers. Manage program schedules, ensuring activities run smoothly and efficiently.
Participant Engagement:
Establish and maintain positive relationships with program participants, addressing their needs and concerns. Conduct assessments and surveys to gather participant feedback and evaluate program effectiveness. Provide individualized support to participants as needed to help them achieve their nutrition and wellness goals.
Data Collection and Reporting:
Collect and maintain accurate program data, including attendance, participant demographics, and program outcomes. Prepare regular reports and presentations for program stakeholders and funders. Use data to evaluate program performance and make recommendations for improvements.
Marketing and Outreach:
Assist in marketing and promoting the Nutrition Education Program through various channels, including social media, newsletters, and community events. Collaborate with the marketing team to develop program materials and resources.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain program budgets and track expenses. Ensure program compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, record-keeping, and communication with stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in nutrition, Public Health, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). Experience in program coordination or related roles, preferably in nutrition education or public health. Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and healthy eating habits. Excellent organizational and project management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management software. Experience with program evaluation and data analysis is a plus. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
