Responsibilities Job Summary Provide group education and skill-building activities to program participants and community members. Implement identified evidence-based curriculum(s) and education models with fidelity Schedule, plan, promote and implement workshops and other required activities Lead outreach/in-reach activities within VCC and the community to recruit program participants Sustain and/or build community partnerships to advance program activities Work collaboratively with program staff to assist enrolled program participants Maintain ongoing contact with program participants to build trusting relationships Demonstrate familiarity with VCC programs and services Develop and maintain a calendar of educational sessions Follow program protocols and complete program documents and reports Participate in internal and other program meetings as scheduled Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature review, in-service meetings and workshops Support the vision, mission and goals, and demonstrate a commitment to the values, of the organization Perform other duties as directed Qualifications Minimum Bilingual in Spanish/English High School diploma or equivalent Minimum of four years of experience in community education Valid California driver's license, current vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation to travel between sites for meetings and/or to gather information for reporting purposes Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends Preferred Bachelor's degree in related field or associates degree with minimum two years of experience in community education Required Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Ability to present information accurately and effectively both orally and in writing to individuals and groups Good verbal and written skills necessary for communication with patients/clients, providers and other staff Ability to handle confidential materials and information in a professional manner Basic computer knowledge, Internet use, MS Office and Excel, data entry Work independently, take initiative, and be proactive Ability to analyze, prioritize and meet deadlines Ability to track and manage time effectively Ability to plan and facilitate internal and community meetings Excellent customer service skills and commitment to providing the highest level of customer satisfaction Pay Rate $22.50 - $24.00 Depending On Experience
